Been intensely depressed for a lot of this weekend. Actually for a good while. I think maybe I should actually get around to getting checked for anemia/thyroid crap.
Hey, maybe if it's a thyroid problem, and I get it fixed, than maybe suddenly I'll go through a growth spurt again and be 5'9" and 105 lbs and 38-22-34! That'd be SWEET!

I'm sort of irritated that a lot of the stuff that made Akon 10 suck so bad for me was happening at AWA this year. I'm glad I wasn't around for it this time. Still, I'll be Most Put Out of AWA turns into another vampires-in-corsets / white slavery / Girls Gone Wild fustercluck, a la DragonCon.
I started keeping my Livejournal again. I like the Friends-only option, so I can have the "stuff I don't mind strangers reading" entries and the "stuff for people who know me" entries.
If Brett gets done setting up the household network today I am going to harass him to rip the Only Yesterday .vobs for me... -

I'm rather wiped out this morning; Brett, Aleks and I went to see Dave Attell's stand-up act last night. Even though I took a 2 hour nap before the show*, it still didn't compensate for lost sleep.
Ah well, it was worth it. Very funny stuff, and I'm looking forward to the inevitable Austin episode of "Insomniac".
Also, being at that show last night showed me that I should NOT COMPLAIN about audience behaviour at cons. Good lord. 800 fanboys in one room? Yeah, that can get a little crazy, and pretty rude. 800 fratboys? Time stops and the evolutionary clock goes backwards until the crowd is dispersed. I swear I saw some elongated canines appear during all the grunting and chest-beating.
(See, the funny part is, I bet you guys think I'm exaggerating.)
Anyway, Rudest. Audience. Ever. Half determined to stop the show so Dave Attell would pay attention to them, and half determined to scream bloody murder at anyone who was NOT Dave Attell.
Makes AWA5 look like a tea party in comparison.
It's frightening to walk into an entertainment venue and be one of the 5 oldest people there.
Still, a hilarious and fun evening.
Also, there was tortilla soup. Mmmmm.
