Though her life might have seemed short by the standards of today, it would have been long in medieval times.

I had a rant to write because I felt all depressed today, but after running 3 miles and a healthy serving of gin, I feel much better.
No rant for j00, come back, next year!
Seriously, though, I'll write in the morning when I have time.
Sleep... now.

(Yeah, yeah, Robbie Williams, prettyboy band, blah blah... but I still like that song.)
Reading Hsien's journal reminds me I need to go find the Austin library. I keep buying books like a dork when I could be checking them out... oh wait, it takes me months to finish anything because I'm always drawing or at work. Oh well.
Currently working on "A Clash of Kings" by George R.R. Martin. I normally don't like fantasy, but this is good stuff. Martin can kick Robert Jordan's ass.
And I mean that in the most literary sense, of course.
Working downtown and at the uni rules. I [heart] vegan takeout.

Can't stand it / I know ya planned it

This morning, I figured out why "Fingers" off the Bebop Movie Soundtrack seems so familiar - it's "Rushing" and "Down Slow" by Moby mixed together. Really! Just listen to those two songs, then listen to "Fingers".
Speaking of Bebop and Moby, I saw a pretty cool video at AWA done to "Porcelain". Normally I don't like effects-laden videos, but I could kind of see the style in this one. One of the few effect-filled vids with visual consistency. No idea who made it...
The thing that amuses me so about "Porcelain" is that it sounds like the guy is saying "Pez! Pez! Womaaaan..."
Sure, I'll have some Pez, thanks!
Got a lot of work to do today, so I probably won't be my usual postin' fool self.
Mmmm, breakfast taco.

You're a butterfly / a trick of time / who leaves before he arrives

322 hits. You guys must be as bored as me.
Been scrambling like crazy to get the artwork for Nekocon done - the deadline for their program book got pushed up so I'm finishing a pretty complex CG in like a day and a half o_o
I suck at cityscapes. I used a kajillion photoreferences and still messed up. Oh well, at least you can tell it's New York.
I've been thinking a lot about Zydeco and Cajun music and whether I could use them... Brett has a songbook of old Cajun songs, and I love some of the lyrics. Problem is, I like the "feel" of the anime to fit the "feel" of the music... and what on earth fits that? Considered Trigun to Paul Simon's "That Was Your Mother" (a sanitized, shrinkwrapped version of Zydeco)... ehh, maybe. Going to go ahead with the Bullets idea first though.
I so love using music by local artists.
Speaking of which, I need to download and watch the vid that Hsien did with his brother's music. That's just cool. I wish I wasn't on a Mac with a clogged up Ethernet.
Well, boo hoo. I've got Painter 5 so I'm not complaining :D

Hey, if you're going to have a cybernetic arm, why not go all out...
