Been rushing to finish: 1. an illustration commission for expertDV and 2. fanart to sell in the Art Auction before Acen.
It's weird forcing my hand to draw anime style again. Bah. But nobody wants to buy realistic artwork, and I need new tires.
If you're there, i'll be the chunky frau in jeans and a blue "OMGWTF" jersey on Friday. Be afraid, rar.
I haven't edited in over a month. Part of this is due to Doing Other Things, and part is due to refinagling my home computer, and part of it is the suckitude of the projects I've been working on.
I know I'm not going to have anything video-wise for Jacon now; but I can have something for the AWA Expo.
Just got my teeth redone, and they hoit. Owwie.

I hear that there may be a panel just on Bebop AMVs at Jacon... if so, I may have to churn out that 45 seconds of unspeakable wrong that's been in my head for a while.
Still can't believe I get to go to Central. Omgwtf. Thinking of getting an artist's alley table, but I never get commissions at cons because I don't draw anime style any more :P -

Okay, so, back in like December I get this discount CD on a whim at Sound Exchange (::pours a 40 on the corner of 23rd in memory of a great independent music retailer::), and there's this one track on this CD that totally kicks my ass. Actually, the whole album is great, but Track 8 is just stand-out flat-out bam boom awesome.
So I slate it for my next AMV project. My super secret, gonna kick a whole lotta ass, AMV project.
Which is not going to happen. It would simply take too many hours of work to do it the way I want - hours I'd rather spend drawing, or hiking, or just being away from a computer.
But the song still begs to be used. This song NEEDS an AMV.

When I edited with this song, I used a version Brett edited down for me - he removed the sex noises (audience considerations aside, it got in the way of the music IMO - though it could be used for great comedic effect) and a few bars from the outro. Unfortunately, that .wav was lost when CoolEdit decided to be a bitch. But those edits can be done fairly easily if you're of a similar mind.
My original plan for this song was a comedy/FX/fanservice video featuring Roger Smith, Wolfwood, Spike, Jet, Vash, Murasame, Chief Chujo and a few others. Ended up only laying down about three clips before discarding the project: 1. the first "mmm, do be do be do", 2. Julius (the blond transvestite from Bebop) lip-syncing "you got some sugah for me baby?", and 3. the first "let's get it on".
If anyone should decide to use this song, PLEASE E-MAIL ME. I'd love to see what you do with it. :-)
