Knghtbrd: Aren't some of those fics terrible? The only ones I've really been impressed by are by the pen names "radishface" and "Team Bonet". It's pretty sad when someone who loves Bebop as much as I do manages to get two lines into a story and just wants to retch.

What makes it worse is that I've had 4 beers and have got the jones for a smoke, and Jennifer left her Camels here... and I'm just 2 weeks away from being able to say I've gone 2 years without smoking.

One good thing about this weekend - sitting in on Brett's recording session, I got a sneak peek at the English version of Excel Saga eps 1-4, and... wow. I mean, I know the VAs Matt chose are good, but I admit I was worried about whether they'd match the original.. and DAMN, it's a fine, fine dub so far.
Jess plays Excel a little more wacky and neurotic (and with a greater vocal range) than Kotono Mitsuishi does, and Brett plays Nabeshin much less nasal (but then, Watanabe Shinichi isn't a voice actor, so...), but it's sounding GREAT, especially Space Butler and Rikudo.
Who'd'a thunk it?
I'm mighty pleased that one of my AMVs inspired one of Nabeshin's foley lines.

Today is a real bummer... George Harrison died yesterday... I heard it on the news this morning.
Come into work and find big-big-truck.com is down. I think I may be pulling too much bandwidth. Apparently my Bebop site is linked to hell and back.
Bummed and tired.
Have to take vacation time that I don't actually have today. Going to drive Brett to Houston so he can go breathe life into the English Nabeshin. I should take a sketchbook or novel to keep me occupied while sitting outside the booth. He's recording for 4 hours straight tonight.. and he's got a sore throat. Poor guy. T_T
