JOURNAL: ManicMonday ( Monday)

  • Redo 2025-04-30 14:49:01 Last night I went back to an AMV I "finished" over 2 weeks ago.

After a couple weeks, and watching it more times than I can count... I just felt it could be so much better... Especially as far as the flow between clips...

And. I am SO happy with it!

It's definitely better than it originally was...

Maybe that means... Even if I think I'm done with an AMV.. I should wait to upload it...
  • Between Videos 2025-04-29 19:54:13 So I'm currently in between video projects.. and while I have a want to create.. I don't think I have a solid idea...

I have a few.. half ass ideas.. that I haven't thought through totally...

But I suppose thats a start..

I'm new to making AMVs.. and all the ones I've worked on up to this point had come to me pretty easily.. Or instantly after hearing a certain song...

I am fairly proud of how my last video turned out too...

Used a faster paced song, and I used a lot more short scene cuts, making sure to go with more major sounds and beats within the music...

Though.. once I was finished, and rewatched it several times... There is definitely an issue with the flow of the clips throughout... Not between then all... but consistently enough.. that it bothers me...

This will be something I focus on....
  • I'm an AMV Newbie 2025-04-12 20:03:37 So, I'm not new to know what AMVs are.. I've been watching and enjoying other people's videos for the past 20 years!

That entire time... I always wished I knew how to go about learning how to make them myself...
But, back that many years ago I did not have the same understanding on figurting out and using different types of software like I do these days...

4 years ago I decided I wanted to start streaming on Twitch.

I did not go into that haphazardly either.

I did months worth of research and learning...
Learning what programs and tools I needed to learn to use...
Learning to use an editing software... after figuring out which to go with...
How to set up and use the hardware.. from the camera, mic, lighting, a green screen, ect...

I had fun with all of it.

But I REALLY enjoyed playing with the editing software.

And over the tgime I've spent editing my streamed gaming content I've gotten familiar and comfortable using it.. It's basics anyway.

So around 5 months ago.. I decided I really wanted to finally try to make my own AMV for the first time (despite wishing I knew how for 20 years lol).

    And...

I had so much fun doing it!

That first one may not have turned out all that great...

But I've now got set goals for myself!

Keep having fun creating and working on my own AMVS...
AND... To continue to grow my knowledge and skills with editing with each new video I create ^_^
