Editing with space constraints is interesting. It's been quite some time since we have had to pay attention to the available disk space on a system we are editing on. We forgot how to use proxy files and what proxy codecs we should use vs not. For the final export we might run into issues provided the full quality prores render isn't less than a TB. Wonder if the laptop I'm using right now can be upgraded with another drive?
First world problems, especially since I have all the parts for a full PC build waiting on me to clean my office and make space to build and use the new PC in, but just can't seem to get past this body's ADHD paralysis to do the work, it's too big...
Getting there though. Thankfully the laptop does have access to the NAS and can store the higher quality files there for the time being... -

It's been so long since we've really been truly involved with editing and perhaps we've lost touch. Got an idea that I really wanna make happen, but I know if I do I'm going to end up limiting the contests I could submit to. Contests aren't the end all of things, but a effectively new editor trying to get out there submitting to as many places as I can feels right. YT is a crap shoot if something will get noticed especially for a new channel no one has heard of and I just can't trade on his name, it's MY art, not HIS.
I just... to make what I want to make... can't edit the track length and if anything the idea I have calls for editing the song to make it longer actually.
Are the fans of today able to sit through a 10min log video? Do they turn it off after 1~2 mins?
I'm going to make the project I want to make. Cuz' I want to see this through. But will anyone actually care but me?
That's gotta be enough.
