well, instead of tryin to fix this little prob with my vid, I decided to skate a little bit instead. While skating my mind wandered and began to think about my new potato gun design. I was having a problem figuring out a way to feed to electric valves into one barrel without exeding pressure limits. Well lets just say that i figured it out ^_^. It will be the first dual compression chamber pneumatic potato gun in existance..... to my knowledge.
oh well. back to my vid. I want to have it done by the end of June but thats not looking bleak.

Well I sit down today to work on my awa entry as much as possible and the first thing I realize is that i accidentally counting one too many verses when i was planning this certain part out. Now i got to find some way to still make it work. Shouldn't be too hard, just ennoying.
That one song that Hsien listed the lyrics for would be hard to make a video to. I was listening to it.... got an idea of how to do it using Cowboy Bebop then gave it up because it would be too time consuming. It would end up needing more overlays than Tainted Donuts.
oh well.... my ramblings for now,

my patato gun.....
2002-06-15 17:04:31
I went to my Uncle's house today to try my potato gun out. They have a ton of open field behind their house so its an ideal place. ^_^
First, before I continue, I must inform you that my potato gun is pneumatic, not combustion. Yes, thats right! It uses air, not an explosion of some sort, for its power.
Now to continue.... My uncle happens to have an air compressor which goes up to 180psi. (the weakest point on my potato gun is 170psi so this is rather nice) Instead of using an old bike pump, We used his compressor to fill it up ^_^. Much more powerful than any manual pump. When fired, the potato cleared a height of over 200 feet (we're not sure...... yet) and a distance over 100yds.
Sometime in the near future we're actually going to clock the velocity of the potato as it leaves the cannon ^_^
Oh yeah.... And i worked a bit more on my awa entry today.
