I read a bit earlier what both EK and Maboroshi think about peoples' opinions. I realized that the same thing has happened to me. I first started making amvs in the spring of 2000 because I found it fun and entertaining. Now I find myself toiling over videos and trying to finish within deadlines. Thats not how I want it to be. I want to have fun making them once more.
I almost feel that this site is what has warped my views. Because of its existence, I can come here and be able to see what others create and read what other think. It's almost like subconscious peer pressure forcing me to change my views without my knowledge or consent.
I dont like the feeling that I have lost sight of my ideals in terms of amvs. I dont like it at all. So I have decided that I will no longer worry about peoples opinions and making sure others will like my videos. I will make my videos with myself in mind, no one else. I will still participate in contests but not for that competition. That would defeat the whole purpose. Instead of created videos for fun, I would be creating them to win. And then I would be right back to where I am now.... not having fun. -

I'm in rather a good mood for my uncle just dying an hour ago. I dont really seem to grieve about anything. I dont know if thats good or bad.

I get up this morning and check amvdotorg. still defaced. So i procede the the formatting my computer. I finish it all up and come back to the site and v2 is up.
