Beat MAX300 on heavy again today at an arcade. That makes two times now that i've beat it.
now to just get better at it :P

I have finally passed MAX300 on DDRMAX in Heavy mode. I have tried for so long and today I finally did it. I didn't even grab a hold of the bar behind the pad either.
I suddenly feel so accomplished. ^_^ -

What I did at the con: (like ne1 would want to read this shit :P )
FRIDAY
: Arrived at convention at 4:30pm
: Registered and played some DDRMAX2
: Slid in on the very end of the AMV panel. (no offense but I just cant stand listening to Brad DeMoss)
: Met up with DJ Fritz
: Played more DDR.
: Talked to the guy in charge of the contest to see how voting was going to happen and what not. (they had lost the ballots b4 hand)
: Met up with Fritz again before the first AMV showing
: Watched the first AMVC showing
: Played more DDR.... again.
: Watched the first gaming tournament. (Dont recall what game it was)
: Got kicked out of the game room at 1:00am
: Along with 4 other DDR players, drove to the Final Frontier Arcade to play DDR EXTREME.
: Played DDR EXTREME until 4:30am
: Went back to hotel and fell asleep on a couch at 6:00am.
SATURDAY
: Woke up at 7:30am. (hour and a half of sleep)
: Went to the only 24hr video room until 8am.
: Went to the second AMVC showing but discovered the convention was running... how do u say... "late." Apparently the Staff had all slept in and the hotel was refusing to open the rooms until 9am.
: got upset and decided to play yet some more DDR.
: Discovered that the game room was also running late.
: did shit till about 9am when the AMVC showing started.
: Discovered they STILL DIDN'T HAVE ANY BALLOTS!!
: Got mad and went back to wait for the game room, which took yet another hour. Hey, it only opened 2 hours late :P
: Signed up for DDR tournament.
: Since I was quite tired from the day before, I decided to go get some rest before the tournement and then heard them say it started in 15 minutes. A single word then went through my mind. shit
: DDR tournament
I won my first match and advanced, then won my second match and advanced to the quaterfinals. It was then looking at the names that I realized that thats as far as i would get. To make a long story short, I lost my third match (actually not by a lot to my surprise) and the rest of the tournament was great.
: Saw the giant, and I mean giant, line for the cosplay and said fuck that.
: Waited until cosplay began then just took a standing spot on the back wall until a seat finally opened up.
: Saw a pathetic and hilarious Street Fighter skit. (Anyone who was there knows what I'm talking about)
: Went to Wendy's after seeing Norm (a friend of all the staff) return with a giant Wendy's bag.
: Played yet some more DDR.
: Played Intelligence Cube for the PSX.
: Then Played DDR more until 3am when we again told to leave.
: Fell asleep in a hall.
SUNDAY
: Woke up after 45min of sleep and was told people took my picture.
: Wandered into the 24hr video room and watched some anime which had something to do with a bunch of maids??? for a while a dozing on and off. This went on for a good amount of time.
: I dont remember this part to well but I believe I left the video room and went over to some couch and fell asleep yet again.
: Woke up at 9:45 and discovered the convention was again alive and I have multiple people in the chairs all around me.
: Dozed off for a sec and came back to around 10am.
: Went to the game room and got in line for DDR.
: Played some DDR.
: Went the the AMV overflow showing. Mainly just because I wanted to see another of my vids on the projector.
: Watch the 2nd DDR Project up through "Have you ever been mellow"
: Played more DDR.
: decided to leave.
: left at 2:30pm
Morely this was my first convention which actually revolved around DDR for me. I mainly only goto cons b/c I enter the amv contests. I have to fill the rest of the time with something :P
Also this was the first DDR tournament which I ever participated in. Even though I lost my third match, I still feel that I did well. The top moment of the tournament was when I looked at our scores for the third song of the third match. This is when I realized he had beat me but I also realized that I full combo'd the song and fucked it up a couple times. That made me feel good b/c the kid was so good at DDR I didn't see how it was possible.
Overall, Ohayocon was alright... I guess.
