I finished my next stand alone video as well. I dislike it since it was a very difficult song alongside a even more difficult anime (at least for my editing-style). I guess it'll never reach the .org. But I'll never say never, it mostly depends on the feedback I get at Animecon 2006 in Almelo. It's a very experimental video, and I can't really tell if the experiment went right. But for know I'll wait for some critics from my betatesters maybe fix some things built and outro and make the mpg for the con and the h264 as distro.

And even tough I have my final exams coming up, I started another experiment. I made an short 3:30 mix for a LA video I'm going to start in the next days. Before I finally get to capture the sources for my Connichi Video.

VCAs result:a poor year 2005

Ok, I finished re-watching all the finalists, and just like I feared while watching all the semi-finalists most of the good videos didn't get in. But even then ... it was a pretty poor year for amvs. If I remember 2004 ... there were much more good videos still relying on good effects and editing not just on using popular anime or music or some stupid random lip sync. None of the action videos that got into the finals is really a classic action video in my eyes, I really missed good action videos this year there only was a hand of'em. And there were only very few good other videos, most by the usual suspects like JCD, Sierra Lorna, Tyler or the Akross members. Of course the number of stupid noobs inceased again and all those worthless amvs that fill ups the org severs went trough the roof one more but that's not the important thing, the VCAs proofed once more that substance and editing skills are worthless if people judge that have no idea about the concept or the actual effort that went into an amv. So who cares about the VCAs anyway ;-).

NP: Luna Sea - End of Sorrow
Long time no see. I guess some people wonder what happended to my PC, well after I let him cool down for a while and just use him if it's not avoidable he runs pretty smooth again so I guess there won't be any interuptions like that any time soon.

I finally got the DVDs for my next video and I already captured the sources and wrote the scripts. And I got the artists permission to edit their music so I guess I'll rewatch my sources once more and then start the video since I just have like to months left to acutally finish it since the deadline for the animecon in Almelo is the 29th of April. I hope I can make it altough my final exams are starting at the end of April as well so I should learn as well. I don't know if I can do both but as always it'll be ok in the end I guess since I never did much for school and always had acceptable grades so it won't be much different this time or at least I hope so. I guess I'll really have to learn this last time ... So we'll see if I can make it untill the deadline.

And some may think that DW actually is one of the fastest completed MEPs ever but I couldn't avoid to postpone the release once again. Rubyeye which I asked to take over Niotex'/Shivan's part surely needs some time to get the work done for he has one of the most difficult tracks beloning to DW. Moreover Hitori and I still need to setup an Intro, I already gatherd 8 out of the 10 tracks and tried to compile them and it looks quite good, the only problem is that 2 tracks suffer minor quality issues due to technical problems of the editors. I hope I'll have everything togther by the beginning of March so I can get it all togther and release it still in the first week of March.

Ok, just to lat a few people know: My Pc went down again and refuses to start up. I don't have the time to get a new mainboard during the coming week, so I'll be using my crappy 800mhz Laptop for communication purposes untill friday when I hope to be able to repair my editingrack. Too bad but somehow it's good since I need to focus on my Footballtraining (which starts again tomorrow) again and also on school (which starts tomorrow as well) since there are only 3 months left for me untill the final exams.
But all you DW-Folks don't worry I'll be back to finish the project in time like I expect it from everyone else as well. Before my PC went down today I captured and worked a bit on the DW outro - it's looking really fine.
