I'm not really short for a women--about 5'2", so just short of normal. I think I just honestly look young--round cheeks and no cheekbones. Both my parents look pretty good for their age, and I know Mom used to get mistaken for younger than she was when she was my age.
It's just frustrating that I'm getting hit on by guys that are still in high school. I didn't date high school boys when I was still in high school (meaning I barely dated, but meh). -

I know how that one goes. At Animaritime this year i had a teenaged boy hitting on me (I didn't realise it myself, Cait had to tell me--he was obviously too young for me so the thought never entered my mind.) Then I mention that I'd be going to the Yuri/Yaoi panel.
"We're too young for that...well, I am. How old are you."
"20. How old did you think I was?"
"16, 17."
*bangs head on desk* Being told 'you'll enjoy it when you're 30' isn't much comfort when you're 20. And I've been mistaken for 3-4 years younger than I actually am for YEARS. Someone once remarked aobut a picture that I looked like I was in grade 2 when it was taken. It was my grade 5 class photo >< I just want to look my age! -

Mom's kinda miffed at me ^^' I found out that Deep Discount DVD's boxset sale covers ALL of GitS: SAC. So I begged her credit card again. She says she wishes I wouldn't spend my money on that stuff, but since I'm going to buy it anyways she lent me the card. It's a good deal. I'm three discs behind, so with the sale I get one free. Plus the prices are already discounted. So all three of them (SE) cost me just $66 American. Those would cost me $150 in a store. Even with the currency change (and the Canadian dollar is pretty strong right now) that's a hell of a bargain. On the other hand, I should've thrown another disc in there, since it would've been free, but there wasn't much that I actually wanted in that sale. And next month, I'll be able to finish my collection. Well, at least until more gets made. But there's nothing coming down the pike just now, so my wallet will get a needed reprieve. At least on GitS stuff.
