JOURNAL: Schu no ko (Angela-chan )

  • Happiness and Tonberries 2002-05-04 13:39:53 No excitement for you people, I'm sure, but excitment galore for me!!!!

    Schu no ko has just gotten herself the live version of Perfect Stranger. And Ms. Schu no ko is receiving high quality X TV series tomorrow.
    Now for those who've read my list of two videos, this can only mean one thing.

    Cool version of Perfect Stranger + X TV footage= Your Eyes V.2

    That's right, folks. Your Eyes version 2: The way it was meant to be.

    New footage. New song. New plot.

    ...well, same plot, just told differently.

    More action! More angst! More shonen-ai implications!

    I'll hopefully get started this month, if not I'll do it over the summer. I'd like to get it done by the AX contest deadline, but that may be impossible, since my darling Laurel has to have me help finish her Kenshin video...and unless my mom shells out the money for Adobe Premeire, I may have to use that machine to MAKE Your Eyes.

    So hang tight, Subaru/Seishirou fans. It will come.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So uh, not much really going on with me. Still recovering from Sakura Con.
    My Tonberry plushie is my new best friend. He likes to come to school with me. My Spanish teacher loves him and my English teacher just laughs when I carry it in.
    I personally think my tonberry is the cutest thing on the planet. I love tonberries. Yes, I know. They're a pain in the ass to fight, but look at them. They're adorable in that little menacing way. Lookit the little knife! And the little lantern! I'm glad I got the smaller one. He's more fun to squeeze and make dance. Laurel's getting annoyed with him though. I told her. He only attacks her because he loves her. He loves everyone. He's a tonberry of love.
    This reminds me. I have to start designing my tonberry costume for AX. I'm still in debate whether or not to do the full head. I'd probably roast! But oh well. I may do it, if I have the time. I'm not used to bulky costumes though. BUT I WILL DO TONBERRY! AND I WILL BE A CUTE TONBERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Well that's that.
    Love,Peace and Tonberries!
  • Fun and Chaos at SakuraCon 2002 2002-04-28 19:59:11 As I'm sure none of you know, this year was my first Sakura Con and first AMV contest. the first is the fun. the latter is the chaos.
    Fun first! The convention was great! Everyone was friendly (except for this one lady who litterally shoved me out of her way! not so much as an excuse me...bitch, do not push the Subaru) I cosplayed Schudlig from Weiss Kreuz and Subaru from Tokyo Babylon. I met and hung out with lots of interesing people. And I bought a Tonberry plushie! YAY TONBERRIES!!!!!!!!!! (his name is B-chan). I also got a very cool Kenshin pencil board (It has Aoshi in his ninja outfit...it also has Hiko! do you know how hard it is to find stuff with Hiko-sama on it?) some X trading cards ( I GOT SEISHIROU!!! WOOOOOO!!!!) and a hide keychain. I was acting like a little stupid kid as well and left little notes around on the hotel notepads (and I know I'm not the only one). Watched some weird anime and just generally hung around. And I got glomped a few times.
    Now the contest. Oh I was so excited. I ran in and got my seat in the first row and was squealing to see my name on the ballot. It didn't really occur to me that I was really in the contest until that moment. Then it started. The original animation stuff was kinda trippy (I much preffered the Macross ones!) and reminded me of something I saw on public accsess TV once. Oh well. They were cool. And CG is hard.
    Then the music video contest started. Personally, I want to shake the hand of the creator of the Frozen video. Though there were a lot of Kenshin videos, that by far was the best in my opinion. Oh, and I was mad about another thing. There were lots of videos using the X movie. And I had used some X movie footage in my video. Wah. But that's not the worst. In the middle of showing the videos, we were informed that due to technical difficulties, my video , and a very good Utena movie one, were not going to show.
    Now, I came all the way from Phoenix, pretty much just for the video contest. And I didn't want to leave without my video shown. And I made a note of this, clearly stating that since my entry was in a format that CLEARLY was allowed for submission, there should be no problem for it to show at the contest. I was offered consolation prizes, which I gladly would have accepted. But I really wanted my video shown.
    Then some guy showed up and asked what the problem with the video was and offered some solution (whoever you are, I would love to get in contact with you and thank you.) and all the other creators seemed to be rooting for the "Show the video. Get it to work" option. I love video creators. You guys are all really classy people.
    So the two left to figure out how to get the video to work.
    Some really good videos later (except for the action category. All the videos seemed to be the same concept of fighting and rage. Though the one to "Welcome to the Jungle" was fun and the Cardcaptor Sakura one was very good) and my video showed!
    Unfortunatly, a majority of the audience left without giving it a chance. Now I know it was late (I was late leaving too), but still, they should have stayed unless something was preventing them. But you know who stayed? The creators. I love you all.
    Thank you for staying and watching the second video I've ever made. Thank you for clapping. Thank you for your support. It means a lot to me.
    So that's that.
    PS. I also want to shake the hands of the guy who created the Eva/ Roxanne video (LOL!!!!!) and the "Satan is my master" video (ROFL!!!!!!)
