When good monitors go bad!

*ugh* Well I ventured into the Lain project again.. and the right in the middle of laying clips out.. *zap* *zap* *sizzle* *sizzle* *twitch-click* *twitch-twitch* *click-click-click* *twitch-click* *click* then the monitor turns off.. I said f**k this I'm getting a new monitor.
I luckly found the same brand and model, and bought it for $200 then I orignally paid for the other one 2 - 3 years ago. Anyhow.. it doesn't go *twitch-click* anymore. So I'm happy.. now on to Lain.. I swear if this new monitor freak out on me.. I know the powers of be, do not want me to make this video for some reason.. and they're prolly right.. but do I care? There's nothing like editing with your eyes shut! -

Welp.. I finally had some time to start on the Lain AMV project. I have about 10 to 15 seconds done. I didn't have much time to play.. but I the other night.. I took a minute or so to sort through what I captured, and to get familiar with the source library (of the stuff I capped). I also laid out the ending.. and parts of the beggining. Last night, I tweaked and filled in the gaps of the first 10 seconds, so that's solid now.
Maybe tonight or tomorrow I'll get some actual time to work on it. We'll see.. I'm still trying to work out the flow of everything.. but I'll know what that is as I force myself to progress. -

Okay.. so I've decided to give this journal-thingy a try.. since I don't have too much use for it.. cause I most of my activities are (weblogged) on my website.
Anyhow.. I've decided what my next set of projects are going to be.. so far I've tried use slightly obscure (sp) anime.. but my next 2 projects are going to involve (already-overused) anime series.. Lain and Kare Kano.
I've already started 3 seconds of work on the Lain project.. but then my monitor started to freak out on me.. either something is telling me its a bad idea to use Lain in another AMV.. or I need to go buy a new monitor.
I think I figured out the problem.. the cable was a little of loose.. but then I tighten everything up.. and now my monitor is not so bright. =( *ugh* If my monitor behaves I'll continue work on the Lain AMV.
BTW the way... I think I might post the R.A.P. ID's and commercial/tribute/parody I showed at AnimeUSA online. If anyone wants me to make them available here, let me know.
