As I posted in the forums.. I'm curious how people decide to vote on AMVs during the convention contests.. like what things are you looking for generally when you what an AMV.
Is knowing the anime important? is the song more important? is the editing technique crucial? is the overall quality the only thing you look for? is it the lasting impression? All of the above?

I just bought this new wonderful toy.. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/photo/B000063LGI/tech-data/ref=p_de_a_td/002-3195838-5674403# (haven't received it yet)... this way I can finally finish up some video projects.. I want to get done before Otakon comes (which is very close).
It's not a super-duper camera.. and it's not like the overally-expensive stuff I normally buy.. but it does seem like it will get the job done.. and it's not incredibly expensive. Hopefully.. all goes well I'll have it by the weekend.. and I can get to filming.
The whole reason I bought this thing.. is because my current camcorder has a broken/bad charger. Luckly, RadioShack had a close-enough AC-to-DC adapter I can use to power the sucker.. so I'm not completely left in the wind with my OLD camcorder.
Anyhow.. wish me luck.. into my (hopefully) weekend filming adventures. Like everything else on my website.. it will probably be available after Otakon for this year. ..okay off to edit! Ja! -
