  • Fanime AMV Contest 2014-03-01 22:48:56 So the Fanime AMV Contest is open for entries. We're hoping for our most entries this year and to put on an awesome contest. Entries will be accepted until April 30th; bonus points are awarded to those who get their videos submitted prior to the 23rd. We don't have any freshness rules this year, so if you've got older videos that haven't been sent to a prior Fanime, feel free to send them our way. And remember, no YouTube links...

  • Upgrading, upgrading... /sigh 2013-10-23 19:46:29 I really want to get started on my next video(s) but I've come to the conclusion that some upgrades to my rig are absolutely necessary. After my editing laptop fried, I was left with my desktop, which was in its prime fantastic, but unfortunately it's gotten older now and needs some boosts. I considered just buying more memory for it but since it's DDR2 the quantity I can get is limited and the price is absurd. It's especially unfortunate since in terms of processing speed she's not that badly off, but I think I'm going to have to end up buying a new mobo and processor for her so I can use DDR3. 2GB of DDR2 memory just isn't going to cut it and I'm not willing to spend $200 on out-of-date memory that'll only boost her to 6 or so. Better I use that money on a complete overhaul... Now it's just a matter of making said money. ;P

    Anyway, don't expect anything new from my neck of the woods for a while. I'll have something for the next summer con-season, for sure, but what it is and when depends on how soon I'm able to upgrade. 
  • So About 50 Ways For Your Partner to Die... 2013-07-18 17:56:14 Erhem. I don't know if anyone's reading this, but I thought I'd put the information up. I'm not waiting on putting up my video due to upcoming contests or anything like that, but when I came home from AX I found that my editing computer's motherboard had died. I've taken it to the shop and had no results. Thankfully, my data is safe. However, my data is still stuck on the harddrive in the laptop and I'm in the process of taking it to a guy who can clone the drive onto an external for me. I do have a back-up desktop that's capable of editing, so once I've got the source files I'll post a copy here and probably on YouTube as well. I apologize to anyone out there who is waiting on a downloadable copy of my video. Thanks for your patience.
