I give up trying to remember my user name and password.
Thus: i made a new account, Brolli-sama has arisen from the ashes of... erm... whatever my old user name was.
heh heh...
Anyway... things are going well. my friend gemz is visiting on wednesday and dissapearing on saturday, and my friend sarah is (supposedly) visiting on sunday.
In other news:
I was at the Leeds Carling Festival with a bunch of mates on friday, rocking hard to bands such as the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Used, Sugarcult, Sum41 SOAD, Metallica, and (unfortunately) the Good Charlottes and Primal Scream.
The Good Charlottes really had no idea what the hell they were in for when they said "So you hate us. We don't care, THROW all your bottles of pop at us!"
You've herad the song "Burried alive by love" by HIM? Well this was "Burried Alive By Ballistic Bottles" by THEM.
Wheras Primal Scream came on set, insulted the other bands, played shit, then took the huff and abandoned the stage. Bunch of idiots... i mean, C'mon. the should have REALISED that most of the crowd were their waitying for System or Metallica. so what do the retards do? Insult the bands, therefor, insulting the fans. What a way to go. Don't let the barrage of bottles hit your big heads on the way out.
Whoops, too late.
System and Metallica rocked. Other than the whole shitty mob-mentality thing when Serge (SOAD) was trying to get the crowd to back away from the barriers so paramedics could get to a girl who had slipped and become caught under one of them (a friend of mine was right at the barrier when that happened. He said people tried to back away from the barrier, but the people behind just kept on pushing them forward into the barrier again. it was rediculous.).
Eventually, Serge and the the rest of band picked up their set and continued playing after about 15 minute sof him yelling and peading with the crowd to let the paramedics at the girl, and let the security guys reinforce the barrier.
Eventually, Metallica came on. And my god, what a show! James Hetfield knows how to work the crowd, and watching Lars Ulrich and Kirk hammet just mess about (and form the Black Stripes (Lars Ulrich on guitar. Kirk Hammet on drums) as part of an encore) was great. They played well (A bit of trouble during 'Frantic', but nothing bad) and they left the crowd feeling like they'd seen an Act of God.
Well, that's it for now, peoplses.
Paul.
