So yesterday I finished an AMV,

which took two months to finish.
Posted it to the anime subreddit on reddit.com and reached 1st

ConnectiCon 2013 COMEDY Finalist

Magi, The Dayman got moved to the Comedy category for ConnectiCon 2013.
For this particular contest, they did not want any explicit words. Unfortunately, the music I had said "B*tch" 3 times, so I had to make a censored version especially for this contest. I replaced the B word with a duck quack sound, and it seemed to fit.
Got emailed this:
Breaking the general form of this form letter to make sure you're okay with this. Your video got some of the loudest laughs at the prescreening for the censored version that people were begging to move it into comedy.

Anime Expo 2013

Unfortunately Magi, The Dayman did not make it into the finals in the Action Category at Anime Expo 2013. Kinda expected this, considering that the quality of videos there are on par with "The Best AMV's of All Time".
Although not in the finals, the video did make it into the "PRE-SHOW ROSTER" which means it will be shown before the real show starts. A small victory, but a victory nonetheless.

Both Leather and skirt, and Magi the Dayman made it into the Fanime 2013 Finals.
Found one of the finalists named "RADX888" who steals people's amvs and uses clips from them into his own.
His video "Unseen Hearts" has clips taken directly from my video "Leather and Skirt".
