- I am still alive and kicking 2006-12-02 05:39:29 I noticed that I haven't written here in ages.. I have been damn busy with all kind of non-hobby-related stuff, which also means I haven't been able to work with AMVs much. So those of you waiting something new from me (both of you) have to be patient and wait for a lot longer. I'm currently running two MEPs.. Nightwish MEP 2 and finnish version of AMV Hell. These project have priority and looks like my next own AMV project will be another epic one, which also requires good amount of time to finish.. once I even get it started. So at this point it seems my next AMV will be done somewhere in the year 2007..

There was a AMV-contest in our finnish AnimeCon last weekend. I participated with 3 videos. Will O' The Wisp(action), Aimon Virsi(drama) and HAMVoMiBda(comedy).
Aimon Virsi won the judge's decision for the best video in the contest ^-^/
I also got two honorable mentions. Technical/editing for Will O' the Wisp and "most brain damage caused" for all videos.

Recently it was brought to my attention that I have finally been RIPPED OFF ^^/
Check out the "No Miko Hearts" at you-tube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4ilhxtGiqU or just do a search if the url gets mangled) and compare it to my Lunar Gravity. This means that I'm officialy good enough editor to steal from ^_^
(Those of you that actually read this, don't go after the poor person that used my footage. I don't really care.. actually I really am honored.)
Other thing that lift my spirits is the very positive feedback that I'm getting for my Captain's Shooting Company AMV from some of my favourite fellow editors. When someone like Otohiko gives an opinion saying that it's his favourite AMV it really has a positive impact.
On a side note Lunar Gravity also seems to be quite popular. I have yet to receive a negative QC for it. (please don't go ruining my day by leaving a negative QC there ^^'') -

It seems that I have this weekend to get my current AMV project done. I just got confirmation from a web store that a productivity killer is arriving next monday :3 Problem is that this weekend is kinda.. busy. I hope I can get some free time to finish the next video. Good thing it's very close to completion.
Today it's again time for the Warzone (3rd edition) miniature game ^_^ My Bauhaus troopers will wipe out any opposition, be it the dark legion or some Mishima scum or something else. -

I have been watching the Melancholy of Susumiya Haruhi lately and just love the show. Today I was driving home and listening the radio when this song caught my attention. It was Rihanna's "Rescue Me" or something like that. I was snickering the rest of the way home. When I got home and looked through the lyrics, time to time the match was so obvious (with a help of twisted sense of humour) it was plain creepy. "My common sense is out the door, can't seem to find the lock" *dindindin* "SOS please someone help me" ..geez
The reason why I don't pick up this concept (at least for now) is the same as with Rammstein's Rosenrot (Rozenrot anyone?). It's so obvious combination that someone else is bound to pick it up sooner or later. I just hope he/she does a good job. Just get a clean ending footage before starting.
