Managed to finish Ducktoy Complete just in time for AnimeCon's AMV-contest. AMV Hell 3 is searching for creators. One of my suggestions was scrapped with a line "no.. please, no.." meaning more FoxJones Quickies to come. That's about it for now.

Best Action Video seems to be Eternal Damnation.. ok, I thought Bleed the Sky was better but hey, ED kicks ass also. ^^b
Best Character Profile went to the right address ^^b
Best Comedy: no complaints here
Best Dance: Nappy's use of effects make me squirm in pain but I'll let this pass. As a dance AMV it works good enough.
Best Drama: I said I was going to start stabbing things if Euphoria starts to win categorys.. Pointless effects seems to rule over the amazing athmosphere of Mad World and Gothic Fairytale -_-
Best First: Yes, even though I still don't believe that's really his first amv ;) I'm just sad that it being nominated as the "best first video" seemed to disqualify it for being nominated to other categories in the eyes of the voters.. like the best lip sync AMV.
Best Fun Video: ok
Best Horror: ok (still disappointed that Moneyshot didn't make it to voting round ;)
Best Instrumental: ok
Best Lip-sync: ok
Best Parody: a bit wtf but.. *shrug* ok
Best Romantic: ok. I didn't vote on this because I couldn't watch Memories of Love and Conflict because was afraid of spoilers ;)
Best Sentimental: jesus christ -_- Nightowl should have earned this one.
Best Trailer: ok
Best Visual Effect: only category I could remotely understand where Euphoria might be successfull. Though Effects can be USED better.. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY PEOPLE! :
Creator of the Year: ok

Now don't get me too wrong. the effects used in Euphoria are of course really cool.. It's just that the AMV itself feels so hollow. Those effects seems to be there just because they are.. like the meaning of life is life itself. If there's some deep meaning behind the effects.. well.. I just don't see them :(
Of course this years AMVs were great, and I really enjoyed them. Applaudes to all the greators that made it to the voting round. It just eats me how Euphoria took away the awards of Drama/Sentimental/Artistic from the works that should have earned those, namely Gothic Fairytale, Mad World and Playground Love. I'm also very dissappointed that Fairytale didn't win anything :( Though I'd like to personally hand over the Creator of the Year award to AbsoluteDestiny. ^^

Oooook.. close to 2000 hits, and over 1300 downloads. over 200 stars given with average hanging around the 3.60. It's not even that good of an AMV.
Anyway.. it makes me feel good to see that I have managed to create something some people like ^^ Thanks to the viewers.
1000 downloads waypoint from the direct option has been broken, so it's time to switch my direct dl slot to the Ragnarok AMV. Aiming for 200 downloads ^^ -

Well.. I found out today that someone is planning on nominating one of my videos, namely the "sweet feather", in this year's VCA under "best epic video".
Didn't see that one coming o_o
That was... 5 hours ago and I'm still a bit dumbfounded by this piece of news. Considering that the AMV is just an art-piece that I made to myself this is just.. stunning. To think that 1) someone bothered to view it and 2) actually liked it. Even if the video doesn't make through to the nomination round (yet alone voting) it still really means a lot to me. Thank you. -

Not going to write a long speech. Just gonna reveal that my new year's resolution is to start writing those opinions that are long due. And say that my last year's AMV projects have been a positive experience, and I'll keep doing more AMVs this year.
