Let's try something to get my lazy ass off the cowch and finally write some opinions.

I just noticed one nice thing...
IT FEELS DAMN GOOD TO RELEASE AN AMV ^^/
Here I am sitting in front of the PC sipping last drops of beer (really.. can't release stuff like Shingetsutan Chocolate while sober) and feeling damn good about myself. Another AMV done after more or less hard work and waiting to see how many death threats I get this time ^^
Yes.. doing AMVs mostly only for myself.. and sometimes it feels worth it.

I have two wonderful elder sisters and I lub them ^^ Of course oldest one decided to organize a Live-Action RolePlay.. and guess who was the nice little brother willing to help out so that he wouldn't feel totaly useless?
that's right ^^/
So I ended up sitting in the forest for several hours.. which is fine. I actually do that willingly whenever I'm bored. I even saw a wabbit ^^ Problem was the outfit which was NOT suited for the warm day. Whenever I moved I ended up sweating like a pig. And when I sat down for a while the sweat cooled off and the pants stuck to my skin. Guess what happens when the day grew long and the chilly evening arrived.
that's right ^^/ *cough*
Fun thing about being sick is that it causes loss of sanity. If I'd still have the energy to pull out an all-nighter people might get a whacked out AMV or an epic drama about how the brave amoeba traveled from the closet to under the carpet. Story that would make cute girls cry. Sakaki-san would weep herself dehydrated. What annoys me now is the lack of material to "cure" my sore throat (which is sipping 54% german rum until you can't feel the bloody thing anymore). The cognac I used as a substitute is not really my stuff :
Anyways.. I'd better go to sleep before I write something I shouldn't have.. god knows what I already did in the forums >_<

Now.. 6 months after I finished my Matantei Poirot Ragnarök AMV I saw the first episode of the anime "Great Detectives Poirot and Marple". In the beginning of this year if someone would have said to me that there'll be a Poirot-anime I would have most likely laughed my head off..
About the anime itself.. I kinda like it. The drawing style is close to those old-school series of eighties. Bad things about it are the mandatory mascot-character (this it's a duck) and the fact that the anime version of Poirot himself IS NOT SNOB ENOUGH!
And about the mascot I recommend you to see the "Chibi Things vs M2HB" AMV ;)

AnimeCon III, Finland

It's over and I have survived it ^^/
Result: Thanks to Arctic Tribe AMV fandom is on the rise here in Finland.
Saturday: Me and my friends arrived there a bit late after 300+ km ride and an adventure called "where the hell is the con-area". There I met other members from Arctic Tribe (Venomi, Janzki, Grekon, Sivis, ReiEnna, Rain and several other familiar faces). I also met our fellow AMV-artists JCD and Px32 from all the way from Germany.
In the evening was the first finnish AMV contest. We expected about 200 people there.. well.. rough count was little less than a thousand ^^' Didn't see that one coming. Glad we had the biggest room in the whole con available. The contest itself went through without any big problems. My AMVs scored 3rd place in action and comedy (Ducktoy complete and Hamster Dance).
After the contest it was time to hang around the city. We sat down in a restaurant with Venomi, JCD and Px32. Later on some more of my friends came along too. After it was time for the big event. the Con Party where we were providing entertaiment on the big screen. That is, if you consider Moneyshot or Tubbygirl to be entertainment. Those Kinky Club members (they had their own party downstairs) that visited our party seemed to like them. Go figure. After 5 hours of party all of us were all happily drunk and it was time to get some sleep and wait for the hangover symphtoms.
Sunday: Again I was a bit late and missed the first events because I slept in. First thing we heard about the next morning was that most of the Guest of Honors (except ABe who didn't mention anything) were pretty pissed off at our loud AMV party (Venomi told me that Jonathan Clements gave him "the look"). Well.. fuck them ;) Most of the people really liked the show. (which makes it clear that GoHs are not people ;) It was quite a scene to see a middle-aged man jamming while my Rizelmine-Satumaatango was playing on the screen.
Sunday's main event for us was the AMV panel, which I was the most worried about, because I'm not really suited for talking to audience. At first I was little lost, but when I had a chance to talk about something I actually knew something about it went alright. This time we had the smallest room and it was also full. Venomi, Janzki and I got through the panel with the help of Kyuu Eturautti who was rewarded at the end with a pair of Arctic Tribe pantsu. Other pair we gave to the finncon-auction and someone actually bought it.
After the panel the con was coming to an end and one by one we said farewell to fellow AMV-makes and other people we saw there. Thanks to Venomi for doing more work for the con than he meant to do at first.
One last shock was waiting for me while I was driving back home. Friend of mine who was sitting in the back seat mentioned that he had bought a pair of AT-pantsu at yesterday's auction. Good thing I was able to keep the car on the road so you people will be able to suffer from my AMVs also in the future.
