  • So here I am/ Doing verything I can/ Holding on to what I am/ Thinkin' I am Superman 2002-01-14 00:31:10 YAAAAAY!! The videos are finally back up. Jeff just got back from Austin, and his computer is back up, so download away!! Yeah, and watch my download count jump a whole two spots. Oh well. It's nice to have everyone back together again. That, and we have fuggin' Cartoon Network on campus now. HELLZ YEAH!! I'm just gald to be back on campus with a reliable, rather fast internet connection. Now, I am not looking forward to getting up tomorrow for the first day of classes, since my first class is at 8 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING!! God, that sucks. Luckily, I only have four classes (five technically, if you count my Japanese lab and class as two seperate classes). I only have class until two on Monday and Wednesday, 1 on Friday, and 11:30 on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday and Thursday aren't too bad, considering I've only got one class from 10-11:30, and that's it. However, that one class is Constitutional Law-Civil Liberties, so it's probably going to kick my ass. Fun.

But enough about classes, now on to interesting stuff. I got a couple of new games from my friend Michael, which are Max Payne and Tony Hawk 2, both for PC. Huzzah, two more distractions. I'm kicking myself, since I haven't started the next video I want to work on, and I know I need to start it now, otherwise I'll probably get busy and forget about it. Alas, the life of a college student is rife with dillemas. (Yup, that there is an edumacated sentence if'n I ever did see one, a-hyuck, a-hyuck.) Well, time to do more nothing. Later.

  • Graviteh eh eh eh eh ehh/ On me, never let me down, gently 2002-01-11 00:24:07 Yeah, I know that's it's been longer than usual, but my parent's ISP (fuck you, Juno!!!) has decided to cut me off every five minutes or so, so my connection to this site (or any other, for that matter) has been complete shit. It'll be better when I get back to campus tomorrow, and I'll have my T1 connection back. I got my DVD-ROM drive, and I can use that to get some source for an Akira video (bought the DVD for this drive) that I've been thinking about for a while. I've really been meaning to work on those X videos I've been going on about for a while, but I've been working a lot, and I haven't been in the mood to work on a video at the moment. I keep meaning to go ahead and capture the source for it, but my computer doesn't want to work for me at the moment. I hope to get that working soon, since classes don't start for a few more days. For the time being, I will content myself with hanging out with my friends and watching the Whole Nine Yards. That is just a damn funny movie. Later.
  • Wait, I'm not down just yet/ I got mountains of regret/ And my sorrow fills an ocean 2002-01-02 18:08:08 Wow, the last few days have almost completely SUCKED!! I have determined that I hate dealing with people. Well, at least when money is involved. You would not believe how busy the video store I'm working at has been. We had people renting movies on New Year's Eve up until 11. I thought if you were going to rent a movie on New Year's Eve, you would want to watch it before the new year. Why couldn't these people be at home getting drunk like any other self-respecting American should? I know that's what I would have rather been doing. Instead, I spent 4 hours checking in and organizing a hell of a lot of movies, while listening to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on one of the TVs behind me. What a way to ring in the new year. I haven't gotten home from work before 2 AM the last two nights. Luckily, today and tomorrow I don't have to work. I have gotten to try out a few new games for my old N64, likew Tony Hawk 2 and Conker's Bad Fur Day. I also rented this Powerpuff Girls game, and to my surprise, it sucked. It's repetitive, and just kinda stupid. The other games are pretty cool. Now, if only that DVD drive I ordered would just hurry up and get here, I would be happy. I went ahead and bought the DVD of Akira, since I love that movie, but I can't watch it yet. Well, I'll go. A whole lotta nothin' is waiting to be done, and it's got my name on it.
  • I want the air, set to seventeen degrees/ I want pineapples and sugar as the major industries 2001-12-30 02:49:05 Just got back from Tulsa yesterday and went back to work today. Yeah, that's fun. I went from several days of sitting on my ass to 8 straight hours on my feet. I swear, it was so busy in there today that I didn't move more than 20 feet from my spot in the entire time. God, it sucked. That, and I find out today that I'll probably be ringing in the new year at work, since I'm scheduled til midnight on Monday. If I get lucky and get away early, I might get home in time to see the ball drop. Alas, such is the life of a video store clerk. And the only work I've done on anyone's computer is my sister's, and the damn thing still doesn't work right. We're trying to get her new drive sorted out, so she can move everything she wants to keep over to it, and we can wipe and reload the other. However, whenever we do something to the hardware, we have to restart it, which takes almost 30 minutes, since the OS is having problems with all of the new hardware >_< God, it is tedious. Tweak, wait half an hour, tweak, wait half an hour. My parents Pentium 133 with a six year old installation of Windows doesn't take that long. Yeargh. Well, on the bright side, I'm gonna get a DVD player for my computer pretty soon, since my sister is buying my CD-ROM drive from me, and my grandmother gave me some money for Christmas. Yippee ^_^ Speaking of which, I'm gonna go start researching for that. Later.
