Hmmm, journal hits at 444. I like that number. Anyhow, I'm happy today, since my space problems are over! I was talking to my sister earlier today, and I mentioned the whole "I keep running out of space" thing. She told me that she has a 27 gig partition on her hard drive that she hasn't even touched yet, and 15 gigs of space open on her primary partition. Since she is also attending this college and is on the same LAN (hell, she lives a floor down from me), this worked out well. I'm currently working on copying over all of my AMVs and other anime to her drive. Then I intend to move all of my source video over to my other drive, and then I intend to work on this DVD that is sitting on my hard drive still. I'm looking for a good DivX encoder so I can encode straight from the VOB files, but so no luck. I tried using TMPGenc to make an MPEG-1 encode of it, but apparently I botched something, because I ran out of hard drive space, and the movie was only half-finished (and almost 2 gigs in size). So, more experimentation is required. Fun.
Oh yeah, and I guess I should also try to find time to study for that Intro to Media Production test that I have in 2 days. Maybe I'll do that while the DVD is encoding, since there isn't a whole lot else I can do with my machine while it is doing that.
And one more note. Dave Barry is the man. If any of you ever have a chance to pick up his novel "Big Trouble" (or any of his other books for that matter), I would highly recommend doing so. He has such a weird, offbeat sense of humor, and it's just great. I happened upon a copy of this book in hardback for about $6 at Half-Price Books. Good times. Well, back to copying and pasting. I'm feeling a bit disheartened lately. Nothing serious, it's just that any ideas I've ever had for an Eva video have gone down the crapper since I watched ErMaC videos. I mean, holy shit, how can I compete with that? I don't think I can. If you're reading this ErMaC (fat chance) I have to congratulate you on these, since they are just top notch. Oh well, it's not like I don't have a list of videos that I want to create at some time or another (and one I would like to redo for the sake of losing that damn CN logo, and just general video quality issues). Now, if my hard drives don't run out of space before I am done capturing, I can work on this infernal video that I have been putting off for several months now. I keep inching toward it, but then something gets in the way. That is what I am going to work on for the rest of the day. Hell yeah. On the hard drive issue, I guess it would help if I stopped downloading so much anime and just focused on the one ^_^ Oops.
On a different note, I finally tried sushi last night. It was.....interesting. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, it's just kinda odd. I'm so used to eating fully cooked food that the rawness is a bit weird. Now going to a restaurant and possibly being able to order in their native language is a neat thought (I would've, but I forgot how to state it. It's been over a semester since I learned how to do that, so yeah). Anyhow, I should get into the shower so I can get to work on that video. So there you go. And while I was in the shower all of 5 minutes ago, I just had the most WRONG video idea that I have ever had, and it involves Tenchi Muyo. Don't ask me what it is, but if I get a chance, I might decide to unleash my wrong on the world. Hee hee, I'm evil ^_^

Sealab 2021 is such a cool show!! Any show in which one of the memorable quotes is "Whoop, there go my nipples again." is just pretty damn cool. Anyhow, I wish I actually had some AMV news to put up here, but my project is having to take a backseat to schoolwork, and the fact that I don't have enough hard drive space for the time being. I need to burn some of my anime onto CD, but I want to have sequential episodes before I burn. I have Excel Saga (an extremely weird and great show) 12-18 on my second hard drive, but I don't have #11, so I can't do that yet. And blah, blah, blah, it gets even more boring from there. The other factor in this equation is that I have a ripped copy of the Ladies Man DVD on my hard drive that I'm babysitting for my friend Jeff until he and his friend Josh can get there DivX encoder working correctly again. So that's around 4.43 GB of stuff that I don't really want on my system. And my AMV collection is getting insane. Between my computer and my roommate's server, I have over 11GB of AMV's alone. Feel free to download anything, but if the connection is bad, it's probably because our LAN has this bad habit of sucking from time to time. The same goes for the videos I made. Just try back later if the connection is bad. There I said it. Yeah.

I have to go home later today to pick up my paycheck from Hollywood (w00t!! Money!! About time!!) and to drop off my parents' computer, which I finally got working Wednesday, without the card that I ordered for that purpose. I now have to either find a way to return it, or find someone who is willing to buy it. Anyone interested in an unused IDE controller card? Anyone? Right. Oh well, I gotta get into the shower, so I can be all clean and stuff when I to my next class. Ja mata.
