JOURNAL: Kentaro (Enrico Bianco)

  • Spike and Vincent's Legacy now available! 2004-05-28 12:12:26 In case you haven't noticed, there is now a LOCAL link to the music video on amv.org. I uploaded the video just the other day. Feel free to watch, give opinions, give stars, whatever. =)

Thanks to everyone who has given feedback on it so far!
  • Anime North 2004: Score! 2004-05-24 23:13:34 "Spike and Vincent's Legacy" made the finalist's cut at Anime North 2004. We're really happy, even if we didn't get any awards or an honourable mention. I'm sorry that it isn't available on the internet yet; that'll be remedied VERY soon I promise. =)

It seems my girlfriend is interested in helping out with my next major anime music video project. Meanwhile, Mat is working on other videos along with the rest of the members of Boy Meets Girl Productions. His Schwarz video is done and I wish I could find some way to put it on the net because it is a pretty nice piece of work. As Andrea said: it makes Weiss Kreuz look good. (Considering how poor the animation quality of Weiss Kreuz was that's saying something!)

We'll be competing again, so watch out: we're shooting for an award next time!
  • Twiddly diddly diddly... 2004-04-27 22:28:31 I've come up with what I think is yet another golden idea for a music video so I'll be working on that soon, hopefully with some help from BMG Productions. What I'm thinking of will be an extremely challenging project and the end result must be perfect, or it'll have a negative effect on the audience. I think from that you can guess what my idea is...

    No? Too bad. =)

I'm twiddling my thumbs waiting for the summer term to start. In less than a week it'll become a year since my girlfriend and I started dating. She's my first love, if you will, and I've never been happier. She inspires me to do things I wouldn't have the courage to do otherwise and my new music video idea comes partly from that courage.

Wish me luck! I'll damn well need it!
  • Whew! Another School Year Passes! 2004-04-19 17:54:04 Wow! I haven't written in my journal in this long? Oh well, there's probably nobody reading it anyway. Boy Meets Girl Productions has finished its first music video and entered it into the AMV contest at Anime North 2004. The video was also shown at YAMA, a local anime club running out of a local university; overall they thought it was great! We'll see how it does at the contest and then I'll upload an internet distribution to this site! Meanwhile, I have exams to write and other small projects to manage. We're already planning our next videos and so far we've got some great ideas. Mat's even got another video in the making. Nope, I ain't tellin'. =)

It was quite a difficult process making the VCD and SVCD versions of our first video. Mat had done the opening and closing clips so I had to attach his stuff to the stuff that had been done on my computer. We'd been communicating often so we were on the same page about how to do the encoding and whatnot and we really got a lot done.

There are quite a few people in the credits of our first video but that's because every member of Boy Meets Girl productions did a little work and Mat and I wanted to acknowledge everyone's contributions. I think because of our different personalities, you can expect to see quite a variety of videos from us.

A website for Boy Meets Girl? We'll see... I write enough code as it is! =)

  • Let's Do The Time Warp Again! 2003-08-26 21:40:28 It has been years since I've actually logged on to this site, let alone decided to write into this journal. I've gotten NO videos done in this time, and the CCS video I made is destroyed, never to be seen again. The region 2 DVD I got of the 2nd CCS movie had a manufacturing error and I never bothered to exchange it. However, I do have some good news...

My friends and I recently formed a small group called "Boy Meets Girl Productions" dedicated to making AMVs. Our first one is almost done and all of us are really excited. The idea for the video was pure gold and the video itself will definitely be competition-worthy when we're through with it. I've gotten very used to using my new laptop computer to make music videos and encode files for distribution.

I'll be very busy during the school year so I won't be able to work on anything but during the breaks, the sky's the limit! (Who knows, I might be able to squeeze in a little AMV work here and there)
