JOURNAL: Rexall (Danny Minhas)

  • man am I busy 2002-04-02 22:04:04 I've been so busy this week. www.animedog.com just went online. YAY!
And this Sunday I have voice auditions for the web show Webmaster Guy. You can get more info going on the website.

Been so busy, I wish I had a car. It took me 3 hours to put flyers all over Rutgers University. All 5 campuses. What pisses me off the most is that Rutgers has this policy of clearing all the bus stops of the flyers. Man that sucks like hell. Oh well. Just have to do it tomorrow morning, thursday morning and Fri morning. Who knows maybe I'll get lucky and they will still be up at some places.

But still I'm psyched. Got a bunch of people interested in being voice actors. I hope things turn out well.

Because of the voice auditions I have not touched the music video. Though it will definetly be put online very very shortly. I need to find aplace to host it though. I wonder where.....hmmmm

  • More stuff to add 2002-03-11 18:25:29 So I continue to work on Gundam Bears. Damn people on the amv mailing list refuse to help me when I sent out an email asking for help. They talk all this stuff about piracy, it's sad how anime fandom has now become a forum for semantics. They all forget how fandom first got started.

It's like I've always told my friends. Anime fans are extremely jaded and refuse to open their minds to the culture of Japan. That very culture which has given us anime.

Anyways, that was a nice rant to get off my shoulder. Been busy with work so haven't had a chance to work on Gundam Bears.

My friend Mike has come up with a another crazy video. This time the anime to be butchered is Vision of Escaflowne. It's not enough to Mike, that we've already got our one way ticket to hell because of Gundam Bears, now he wants to reserve a suite.

On a plus side, I still got two ideas for some kick ass videos. One to Escaflowne, another to Cowboy Bebop. I never realized how hard it is to find a decent song for Escaflowne, a lot of songs just don't fit. Want something where fans will not get bored with at the end.

    Anyways it's 9:30 pm, i'm STARVING...I need to eat.

  • The first entry & First video 2002-03-04 09:39:36 Well naking my first entry here. So what to say, what to say. Well let's see I finally got Adobe Premiere 6.0 and Adobe Aftereffects about 2 weeks ago. Installed them on my friend's desktop and his laptop and we got started on making our very first video.

It took us a while to get all the hardware set up. I didn't know much about S-video, but after about an hour, I got the gist of it and all the cool things about it.

Anyways, I first had issues with this video. Using Gundam 8th Team to Gummi Bears. I liked 8th team, only saw the first episode, but I'm a big Gundam fan. However, we started making this, and after the video was done being completed. I am truthfully scared.

The video, I find to be very amusing. HOwever, I'm afraid that when I show this myself and my friends that helped create it will be lynched. Taking Gundam, one of the greatest animes of all time, and putting it to a Disney song. We've truly commited a blasphemy. I'm certain I have a suite reserved in hell for doing so.

Anyways, this journal entry thing is cool. I should get back to work.
