I like to think I take ratings seriously enough. I usually gives things more than one view and sometimes hold off on rating certain things depending on my mood, since I find that often I can be variable on how I view something depending on my mindset and try to give things a fair shake.
Regardless I mostly give 3s or 4s. The majority of things tend to be 'average' so I give them 3's, things that have a little something more to them I give 4s, and stuff I think are really good or I just really enjoyed I give a 5.
I feel like a meanie giving something lower than a 3 so its mostly stuff thats really below the grade that I start giving 2s and I think I've only encountered like one or two videos atrocious enough for a 1. -
