  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

Video Created 2002 - 2007 ^o^

Post by MindBug » Tue Sep 18, 2007 9:29 am

Ok just to be fair it did not take 5 years to make this AMV ;) I started this project back around 2002 when I first joined a-m-v.org and then was unable to work on it for a LONG time due to stuff going on in my life.

I finally came back to the video I had started years later and realized I no longer had my original project files. I only had an old MPG file I had encoded from my half finished project.

I decided to finally finish the video and used this MPG file along with new source footage from DVDs I had collected since 2002. The first half of my video up to the bridge in the song is the original MPG encode. Everything after that [and a few spots before that I didn't like] was added this year to finish up the video.

I am actually pretty happy with how this video came out overall. As I mentioned in my video comments it was a long time in the making but it feels good to have finally completed it. It was a giant learning experience for me and I took a lot of what I read from guides here on a-m-v.org and incorporated it into this project. A lot of the techniques and styles used were completely new to me and were implemented for the first time in this video. Please feel free to take a look and leave comments.

It has been a long time since I have contributed something to the site and I am glad to be back on a-m-v.org. I am looking forward to doing some fun projects in the next few months that I am hoping everyone will enjoy.
