Hypnerotomachia (Yusf)

Post by Yusf » Sat Sep 15, 2007 6:42 pm

here's my new video, Hypnerotomachia, which title means "Strife of love in a dream" in latin. it's a romance, character profile sentimental video made with two elements never used before for an AMV: the OAV Rayca and Jeremy Enigk's song World Waits.

as usual with my videos two versions are available for download, an XviD one, and a MPEG-2 High Quality one for those who care for their eyes and don't mind downloading big size stuff.

in fact that's the same girl in all the video.
it's pretty clear that you didn't get what was going on.

it's not to your taste, that's all.
thanks for the presentation anyway.

I didn't know this OAV. Weird but interesting trip. Good job.

Hypnerotomachia

Even though this video does have a sense as I mention it on the video's presentation (remember the title), percieving that sense isn't necessary to apreciate it. just let yourself get hypnotised :)

the beauty of image and colours is one of the most important charming tools of this video, so I'll never say it enough, if you have a high speed connexion, or you just downloaded the XviD version (which though has a very respectable image quality) and liked the AMV, run for the MPEG-2 version to notice a great difference, even if you have to delete it immedialty after you view it.

thanks for these nice comments!

just wanted to add that some minor techniqual defects present on the video have been corrected on a new version recently uploaded.

(this is not a call for a re-download, it is just for a purely informative purpose)

This video completely and utterly entranced me. I can't think of any video I've ever seen that better conveys such a feeling of lonliness and emptiness...until that last scene ;) You nailed every single aspect of this video form the very first scene - amazing, unbelievable work, you get a full 5/5 from me and I will definitely be watching out for your upcoming videos (might check out your old ones too :)).

Terrific job!

Wow... this was dreamy, it entranced me also. Very different from other videos, it's seriously really awesome (at first I thought that was original animation, then I checked and saw it was an oav o.O never seen an oav like that before)

5/5 going in my favorites!
