I just recieved a "Cease & Desist" statement from somebody at Harmony Gold, which said the following:

Please be advised that we are aware of your unauthorized distribution of Harmony Gold U.S.A., Inc. copyrighted material, specifically “ROBOTECH.”

ROBOTECH is the exclusive property of Harmony Gold and we reserve all rights to the exploitation of our property throughout the world. Accordingly, you must cease and desist from any further activities in connection with our ROBOTECH properties or distribution thereof. Please confirm in writing that you will cease and desist from such activities immediately. If we do not receive such written confirmation promptly, Harmony Gold may be forced to take further legal action.

Nothing contained herein shall constitute a waiver of any right, remedy or cause of action at law, in equity, or otherwise, that may be available to Harmony Gold in connection with the subject matter of this letter, all of which are hereby expressly reserved.

geez... I knew Harmony were tightwads, but didn't see this coming... thought that was left to the motherf*cks in the music industry... be funny if Sony/BMG C&D'd Harmony for illegally stealing their behavior.

Did you get this by email? Because of a video hosted on your personal website? Where are they accusing you of having distributed the footage? The org, somewhere else?

Details, please. This sounds unlikely, especially the 'throughout the world' line since not all countries follow US laws.

I responded to the person's comments by quoting the original message she sent, and said "I will cease and desist", and I asked Phade to delete all my Robotech AMVs. I'm only 19 years old. I can't afford to face any law suits.
