Video Viewing problem

Lately whenever I play amv's that are .avi or .mpeg dled from a-m-v.org the video doesn't appear but the audio is audible. For example, Tainted Donuts is an amv that i've been watching for a month now and suddenly i can't view it.
I've tried Real Player, Windows Media Player, Quicktime, etc. I have dled AMVapp so i have most of the codecs. Same with Euphoria. I've been watching it for 2-3 months and all of a sudden i can't view it. However if i upload them to VDubMod i can view them without any problem.

Also whenever i compress an amv that i made using Xvid, Lagirth (sp?) and many other codecs. I can't view the amv. Once again only the audio is audible but when i compress my own amv's the audio is 3x as fast. The codecs that i can use to compress and then be able to view are the Cinepack Codec. But that barely compresses and the quality is beyond horrible.

The only format I can seem to play is .wmv.

try uninstalling and reinstalling your codecs. Xvid, divx and the like ^^

when i reinstalled my codecs i could play .avi's but still not mpeg's. I'm going over the guide right now. thnx!
