the Vision of Escaflowne: Series or Movie?
I understand that the movie is like a breif overview of the whole series. I found the series and the movie both on eBay for about the exact same price. Which one is the best choice do you think? Regarding the amount of action, romance, good/pretty sequences? I really want to buy this anime but I would really like to know what i'd be missing if i bought the movie and not the series or vice versa... thank you!

Get the series!
I mean, come on, choosing between 1.5 and ~12 hours of goodness should be no choice at all.
That said, the movie and the series are actually very different. The movie is not a summary, it's more of an alternative re-telling of the series plot.
I tend to think that the series is better in every department except graphics - it just feels a more immersive. You really should watch the series, it's definitely an anime classic.

Other than that, I would say go with the series. They're both quite good, but the series has a better story by far.

! Well before I get either I would be suspisous of whether the series is a boot or not. Because most anime movies are about 20-30 dollars and so are most BOOTED anime series. So, first off I would watch out for that especially since you are getting it on ebay, but if I where you I would get the series. I saw the series and it was excellent, but the movie sucked and I personally don't think that the movie was a recap of the series at all. In my opinoun it was way different. So, get the series and becarful you are not buying the boot version of it.I SACRIFICE!
