How do I create a link to my video?

Go to the video info page of the video you want to link and copy the URL and paste it wherever you intend to.

In your case, you would link your AMV with this URL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=51140

You have to upload it somewhere, then go to step 4 of "Edit My Videos" for the appropriate video and fill in the link info.

Or you can upload it to the Org's own server ("Upload Video" from the members main page), in which case the link is created automatically for you and you don't have to worry about adding it yourself. Which you already seem to have done, so never mind me. <^^

so i was just reading the BBCode faqs before posting and it said that an image in a post regardless if it's in the body or signature of the post had to be available on the web, NOT from my computer. so, what i figured is...what if i submitted a banner and i used it to link a video, regardless if it wins or not ...is this a "no-no" or is it ok since i don't have my own web space?

Well, two problems with this. First, .org banners are too large to be allowed in forum sigs. Second, while we currently keep around banners that have been voted down (well, at least try... we've lost banners before... we still even have some winners missing... ) there is no guarantee we will in the future. Nor is there any guarantee that we won't move things around (actually, it's pretty likely we will).

There are several free image hosting services. I'd suggest using one of those.
