Blinding Lights - Ai No Kusabi AMV
Somehow this is the second AMV I've finished within the space of three weeks. That must be a record for me.
This is one of those video's that kinda had to be made, description as per YouTube:
I don't tend to make AMV's with current popular music, but I heard this song and my brain demanded I combine it with some classic Sci Fi Yaoi. This is the quickest I've made an AMV in a while.
Not too sure what this AMV is supposed to be. It's part action, part romance, part drama, but mostly it's lots of clips of dudes brooding hard.
I feel the need to warn people, while I did my best to avoid such content in this video, the anime is quite explicit.
This is also probably the closet thing I'm ever going to come to making an "aesthetic" AMV.

I kind of feel like this is the most complete and perfected manifestation of this aesthetic that I've ever seen in an AMV. I mean, without trying to go overboard with psychedelic visual effects and whatnot.
The song choice works incredibly well, the whole thing just oozes with style and retro appeal. Unlike most AMVs that dabble in this kind of thing, you never seemed to fall under the spell that that just showing these clips with a glittery, vaguely-80s pop song was all you needed. The editing is solid, there's a good sense of drama and action and... romance? Well, yeah. Those shots at the end are amazing and I want to believe that even the straightest viewer here can at least watch that part and admit that it's cool as hell. Right?
Really liked this one, thanks for sharing it.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you got this much enjoyment out of it. I wasn't sure whether it would resonate with many people but it seems I was wrong.seasons wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 4:34 pmI kind of feel like this is the most complete and perfected manifestation of this aesthetic that I've ever seen in an AMV. I watched this before reading seasons' comment and if I hadn't before posting this I probably would have echoed everything he said almost verbatim. This aesthetic hits so good. You completely nailed the editing, the feeling of the song, and the unmistakable cool that seeps out of both the song and the anime. This is fantastic.
