My first attempt at a video made entirely with motion graphics. I found a lesser known, recent manga some months ago, about a cockroach living in japan. When I found out this year's challenge at the Anime North 2012 MVC was songs in foreign languages (excluding Japanese), I thought what better fit than La Cucaracha? This took a lot of work, separating out elements from backgrounds, recreating art that was obscured by speech balloons, and of course, animating everything from scratch. In the end I'm glad it was well received at the contest, and I hope those of you who were unable to attend can enjoy it now.
