For some reason I find lip sync incredibly annoying to do, and because I haven't really done it on such a large scale, this was really challenging. Other than that, Kyoya was born to be Scar.

Re: Coup d'état (Long Live the Shadow King)
AHHHH. Watermarked youtube why?!?! (Yeah, I know the org version doesn't have it but that seriously irks me. XD)
The lip sync was pretty well done. I had a few moments where I was less impressed than others, but it was solidly done, and I thought that was impressive.
Know what? I thought I'd hate this from the start. After seeing Keiku Cat and Who Needs a King, I thought this song already had two amazingly solid incarnations.
I was wrong. I really enjoyed this Satoshi! :3
You took a very "light" anime that I would have never pictured with this song and turned it into something REALLY dark. Very nicely done concept, and I think you executed it amazingly well.
The only two suggestions I might have offered is perhaps recoloring the anime to fit the darker atmosphere, and a few scenes here and there were a little unfitting (especially when Kyoya changes clothes quickly and obviously).
Other than that, I LOVED it when it hit 2:15 and really went over the top and showed Kyoya implementing his plot.
Nicely done. I recommend, and I really hope you join me when I do the Disney MEP here in January.

To be honest when I first read the title coupled with the anime and the song, I thought, 'Huh. ... Could this work out well?' But then I saw your AMV and I was just so pleasantly surprised! :'D It fit WONDERFULLY!
Honestly the only thing I wasn't a fan of was your username watermark in the corner; it may be translucent but its outline is really quite big and takes away from the video in my opinion. Also while you made honestly a great attempt at lip synch, it could have been a little more closely edited to fit with the words exactly. But that second comment really isn't a big deal; I've just tried lip synch before and I know its time consuming but it works so well if you have a character that's leading the AMV and practically narrating.
Still, this was brilliant. Great work! :'D

Yeah, I'd honestly rather not put the stupid watermark, it's super ugly, but it really bugs me when people take other people's work, and I've had it happen quite a few times and when I started doing this, it stopped. Not that I see why anyone would bother with mine.CodeZTM wrote:AHHHH. Watermarked youtube why?!?! (Yeah, I know the org version doesn't have it but that seriously irks me. XD)

Thank you! I've never done this much lip sync before, usually just for like a lyric or two, so this was pretty challenging, and some parts were a lot harder than others.
For real? That means a lot to me, thanks! Especially in comparison to Who Needs a King, that one's hilarious!
It's all thanks to Kyoya and his hidden "dark" side.

I didn't think of that, I was in such a hurry to finish in time for OhayoCon that I didn't think of anything beyond the basics. And yeah, sadly, there wasn't much I could do about his clothes, so let's just consider it part coup part fashion show.

Thanks again!

Thank you!kireblue wrote:I was pleasantly surprised at how much I'd like this AMV. great job

Yeah, I doubt many Ouran AMV's use such a "dark" song.EkaCoralian wrote:To be honest when I first read the title coupled with the anime and the song, I thought, 'Huh. ... Could this work out well?' But then I saw your AMV and I was just so pleasantly surprised! :'D It fit WONDERFULLY!

Oh believe me, I'm not a fan of that either, it's beyond stupid. I agree with you, the lip sync could still use a lot of work, I'm still new to it.

Thank you!
