Children. In general, but specifically the one next door that screams at all hours of the night for no apparent reason. Related to this, I also hate crappy parents. I'm really tempted to leave this on her doorstep:

I've been around a few tolerable children. Although, I will admit that they are few and far between.dj_ultima_the_great wrote:Children. In general, but specifically the one next door that screams at all hours of the night for no apparent reason.
I'm generally more tempted to blame parents for a child's misbehavior than the child itself.dj_ultima_the_great wrote:Related to this, I also hate crappy parents.
Do it. What's the worse that could happen?dj_ultima_the_great wrote:I'm really tempted to leave this on her doorstep:

Dry counties.
FFS its probably one of the dumbest stances this county/town has. They believe that not selling it here makes the town a better place, lowers DUI's, and violence. However we have bootleggers, they sell guns/tobacco products around here like they are alcohol bottles, and a town down the road in a different county sells it so people drive long distances to get it or drink and drive a long time "under the influence" just to get back.
If we took this stance on everything it would be like, we decided not to sell medicine cause people are reselling them illegally, we decided not to sell raw products cause they can make you severely sick if cooked improperly, we decided to stop selling tobacco products cause... Oh wait no we still sell them just because we want to but we decided not to sell anything else cause apparently everything causes cancer but that. It annoys me to hell, lets just not even sell cars cause people are responsible enough to "click it or ticket". It's like people just can't be held accountable enough for themselves anymore so we have to take away something that requires a tad of responsibility while there are other things still being sold that are just as dangerous/harmful to society.
Worst of it is, there's no really good restaurants here all because they can't serve alcohol. I wanna be able to go to applebees during happy hour and get my damn margarita. I haven't had one in a long time
. Nearest one is way up in lexington from what I've heard.

"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Little things you hate?
I remember dry counties from when I lived in Kentucky. The county I lived in was partially dry, couldn't sell it on Sunday.
I get to Michigan and I find things a similar though we're not dry. We just can't sell between 2am and 8am.
Personally, I'm more annoyed about smoking bans, especially those that leave me now where to smoke my cigars and hookah but at home.

It's still just as crazy here in Kentucky. My county was dry, then it decided to allow restaurants to sell alcoholic beverages (but still no packaged alcohol sales). More recently, they finally decided to actually allow alcohol/liquor sales. There are already a couple of places just across the line seeing VASTLY decreased business as a result.
