If you could take back all the time you spent editing

If I could take back all of the time editing... I'd probably be a better student, I'd still be on the computer, but most importantly...
...I'd just be watching AMVs instead of making them. See, I was an editor long before I joined this site, so joining didn't change anything. For a long time after that, I did nothing more than download videos. I didn't even post on the forums until I had been a member for at least a year.
All in all, my recreation would still largely be related to this site - but I'd probably have an extra thousand or two more downloads. If I'm at 5618 now, then I figure I'd be closer to 7000 if I'm not worrying about my own uploads. *shrug*

The time I spent editing led to a lot of the friends I've made. A lot of them started talking to me after I edited one video or another, it started with an op or a thread comment then became more. So, if I had not spent time editing, I would not have met as many people, nor would I have been as interested in the community.SarahtheBoring wrote:What's funny is that everyone says "I wouldn't! I love all the people I've met!!" But that's not what they asked - they asked about editing, you know, with music and video and stuff. If you took back the time wasted on editing, you could spend more time talking, obviously.

General rule of thumb, if you spend more than 2 hours a day on ANYthing, each and every day, and it prevents you experiencing life in your teens (otherwise known as making your parents think you are ruining some teen girls life), chances are you are making a potential mistake.
I went through my teen years, and never once even so much as kissed a girl. And I gotta tell you, I think I screwed up hehe.
Have hobbies, love your hobbies, but, YOU rule your hobbies, not the other way around.
There's no time machine, and you won't be getting your youth back.

Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

it's easy for people like me to be a bit more social than others (school ....>.>)
but honestly, I really wouldn't change it for the world. I like editing, even if it means spending more time at the computer which most people, (my parents included) seem to hate. I've met lots of cool people, learned things, and learned a whole bunch of more stuff outside of AMV-editing (I have #AMV to blame for that)
But yeah. So long as it's fun, you shouldn't be thinking about what you'd do if you weren't doing this.

Despite hating my own video's I wouldn't take it back at all. It's been a learning experience and will hopefully in the end bring me where I want to be. Along with that I've met too many cool people in the community. People whom I actually consider friends. So adding those into the mix I wouldn't have it any other way.
