Re: Why are you in such a good mood?
Couch to 5K.
I started this back in '10, stopped just before I foolishly decided to drive 17 hours to San Antonio, never got back into it. Restarting it again this year and taking it all the way. I'll need to work back up to even week 1, since I'm even worse off than I was originally, but by the end of the year I want to be running 3 miles (at minimum) every day.

Re: Why are you in such a good mood?
started TWO new jobs this week!
working mon-fri at a scrapyard(oh god it's heaven D: who cares about the hard work, i get first pick of any car/interesting thing that gets scrapped!), and then fri-sat deliverying pizza, paid in cash, so i can keep gas in the car to get to the other job, lol.
all so i can pay my bills, rent and get my ass to Bronycon! ...and fix my other car so i can finally drive my baby again.

It's so delicious...

"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Re: Why are you in such a good mood?
Sweet. I won fifty bucks.
Okay, this requires explanation. Before this year, I had never bought a lottery ticket in my life and had zero interest in doing so. However, I decided to do a little experiment this year, where I would buy a $1 scratch-off ticket every week for an entire year, and at the end, I would tally up the results of my luck. Obviously, if I win more than fifty-three dollars at any point, the experiment is moot, because I can't possibly lose more than that. Combined with the couple of dollars here and there that I've won in the last few months, this fifty dollar win means that no matter what, I will end on the plus side, and if I wanted, I could stop the experiment now.
But we're only six months in, and why stop now? It's paid for itself at this point, so I may as well continue to the end of the year (or the world, if you prefer).
The current total, by the way, is +38 dollars.
