Crying while wanking = emo!

And some of these videos are so old, that I hope the editors don't need my feedback...
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image

Out of the thousands of videos submitted on this site I have only found one video that has recieved less than 2 stars.

The video to recieve less stars is:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/lists/s ... o=bayscore

The video is:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... d_id=22733

There's only 43 videos under 2.5 stars out of the 60,758 that have been submitted.

If it uses Naruto exclusively as a video source = automatic 1.

Hmm... it seems that even the very lowest rated vids on the entire site just barely dip below 2 stars. It might be interesting to see a sort of "scaled rating" where the lowest scored video on the site has a score of 0 and the highest rated has a score of 5. That would help to spread the scores out a bit and make them more meaningful maybe?

Maybe the star ratings should be considered the the video is what ever is stated minus 1 star. That would create more of a spread as 99.99% of the videos on this site are 2.10 stars are above.

To deserve a 1 a vid must be really crappy. Bad footage, bad (qualitywise) music, no concept, really bad synching. Amongst the AMV's that I donwloaded was none that bad.

Enhancing the star scale to zero would possibly spread the range a bit and lower the medium score. But it would be unfair for new AMV's compared with already rated ones. That way the old stars had to be adjusted, what would be unfair either, or there had to be made a break old/new stars.

I'm fine with the distribution of the stars as it is. You must be aware that not 3.0 stars marks the middle like you might expect from a 1...5 rating, it's 3.5. If you look at the distribution of the stars, it drops very fast below 4.0, and a really wide range is 3.5 +/- 0.3 marking the average ones, and the drop below 3.0 happens close to the end. So the distribution curve is a bit squished, but in order.
