Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Generally[/i] speaking, internal sync makes for a smoother video, and I personally tend to prefer it over external sync in many cases. Good editors use a balance of both in their videos; again, this is something you need to experiment with and get a feel for. Hope this helped...if you need me to clarify anything, I can!
Thank you for the quick reply and the description it helped a ton. Since you offered haha i do have one more question. I wasnt happy with the watermarks and the creditsas well is their a way to get footage of scenes that have those things in them removed because even raw downloads for me still retained those things. Once again thank you very much!

Unfortunately, this is against the forum rules. "Rip the footage directly from a DVD or Blu-Ray disc" is my canned response to this question.

One more question if someone wouldn't care to answer. Is it generally a bad idea to use the same anime in your AMV's or does it really matter too much? Thank you in advance!

I advise people to switch up their anime so that they get experience with editing different sources that each have their own difficulties. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with making multiple videos with the same anime. Just make sure that you're editing with the anime because its the best fit for your song/ concept and not just because its easy or convenient.

Thank you all so much for your descriptive feedback and overall help I rarely have run across people that help for the sake of helping so it really blew me away. I'm about to begin my next project and take all of your advice into consideration I will do my best not to disappoint! Thank you again this has been an awesome humbling experience.
