Same Scene twice Any Good?

I want to know people's opinion on this. I have a short scene in my AMV set to a song. Yet earlier, I have a shortened version of that scene (Flash-sync, you could say).

I want to know, does the scene lose its...value since it's already shown and planted in the viewer's head? Is it any good if you do it twice?

No. It´s the same reason why most people don´t want to see amvs with overused anime anymore.

I don´t like such things as viewer in the same amv. Ok if it makes storywise sense than it is alright.

But you have to be very careful with this type of thing =\

If you re.used scene(s), then people will think you got lazy and just used the scene agin, our of my experiences I think i'd be better if you dont re-use scenes

Well it wasn't that bad. It's just that you repeated them too much ^^ I think one or two reuses for a scene isn't too bad.

If it's just a shot of the character that you feel it would help the mood or something, it's ok, but not overdone.

However, don't just redo the entire first half of the video. I knew of a guy, who when he made AMVs, it was like this thing to first edit the first half, then the second half was just the first half over again. It was a real shame, since he wasn't that bad, it was just that the second half of his videos just repeated. So yeah, don't do anything that bad, but a few still shots could be ok.

Introduce the repeated scene differently, unique in it's own way to set it from it's predecessor e.g. set to black and white or a sepia tone done properly.

i think it depends on how you do it...
but i wouldnt recmommend it

Like everyone's already said, it really depends. But most of the time, I find it really, really annoying unless there's a REALLY GOOD reason behind the repitition.

I agree with the opinions given. Especially what hydrax said. Do something more to that scene that will make it different than the other, then people might not even notice.
