Only asked for a good battle / S.Champloo

OK, here's a video I made some little time ago, I didn't synch it to everything I heard, and I don't know if it's good or it sucks, so it's up to you guys. Music by Silverstein, Your sword vs My dagger.

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=143577

It's MP4. In some time i'll upload a divx version ( that is practically the same quality - don't know how - and same weight, but different synch ). So you can wait :P

lyrics if you want ( english is not my native language, and sometimes its hard to understand  ):

I'm cutting through, your bleeding out
and I would tell the truth, but I can't help myself
red rushes out, dissect this nerve
and I'll stop myself before I reach my cell

I wasn't asking for the world
and you know that I'm not one to follow through
all these city streets the people look the same
and I can see your face, and I can hear your name
I wasn't asking for the world

you're stabbing in, permanent scars
and you'll justify it all inside yourself
you've finished me, my pulse is gone
and you're satisfied to put this all to hell

I wasn't asking for the world
and you know that I'm not one to follow through
all these city streets the people look the same
and I can see your face, and I can hear your name
I wasn't asking for the world

drink the poison when you think it's over
(drink the poison)
stabbing yourself when you think it's too late
tragic endings are your thing; you love them
(tragic endings)
you love letting go, the ending's the same
drink the poison when you think it's over
(drink the poison)
inevitable, Verona lives inside of you

I wasn't asking for the world
and you know that I'm not one to follow through
all these city streets the people look the same
and I can see your face, and I can hear your name
I wasn't asking for the world

Hope you liked it!

/me fucking gets

Another quality video from you, Pankyy :) This is probably my favorite of your videos so far, I love that you've finally moved into something more upbeat. I also really like the simple editing, use of internal sync...really just a fantastic video all-around, except that there wasn't much of a storyline or anything. Still, as an action AMV it does what it's supposed to do very well, and I think you've improved quite a bit since you started editing (although you started out as a good editor already, so...I'm excited to see more videos from you :D).

I'm downloading the AVI, but that means I won't be able to OP it...

I wish the MP4 was the direct link. I don't really want to download it again to OP it.

I don't wanna start anything here, I'm just asking: If you really want to leave an op, why can't you just download the .mp4 version and do something else while it's downloading, and then delete it as soon as it gets finished?

Because I can't download super fast like everyone else can.

Anyway, I have yet to see a SC vid with a good song...and that still rings true. Didn't like this too much. 2/5

Good thing I didn't download local :)

A good effort. I could see why you chose the song, but the problem I had with the editing was the fact that you kept full episode segments together. What I mean is that whenever you used an action sequence, the 3 or 4 cuts after it were the cuts that were in the actual show. So every segment seemed to drag out a bit longer than it needed too and showed some scenes that really had no place in the song.

But regardless, it was a good effort and I encourage you to keep at it!
