- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Wow, there's quite a few responses now! I don't think I have the time to answer each of you individually, so I'll do my best to speak towards the topics I remember being brought up!
Song Choice: I realize not everyone is going to like the same music as I do, and I appreciate the efforts of everyone to address any concerns in this area towards the theme of the piece and the synergy between the music and the scene selection rather than just judging on personal preference. It's certainly much more helpful for me to hear when you think the two are no longer working (or when they work best) rather than whether or not you liked the song. So thank you there.
Slayers: Yes, it certainly needs more representation here! I'm glad many of you have enjoyed my addition to the selection!
White Flashes: Well I don't really use many, and only to highlight certain scene changes. I remember someone commenting that they were too much, though, so I'm wondering if anyone else feels that way. Maybe I should have tried a gold-flash XP
Thank you everyone for taking the time to watch and reply here!

I didn't find them annoying or that there were too much, but I have learn that additive dissolve (thats how its called in Vegas) works as good as a white flash and is not eye-killerKira_Douji wrote:

Onto your AMV, I love Slayers, one of my first animes I watched when I was little (oh the memories), glad to have seen a good Slayers AMV, pretty tight and accurate synch I must say, the song worked well if you ask me (and in taste it was neutral for me

Actually, what I did with my white flashes was place a two frame long white image between the two clips and then additive cross dissolve into and out of it. It's a trick I learned from a friend and makes them less harsh.omegaevolution wrote:I didn't find them annoying or that there were too much, but I have learn that additive dissolve (thats how its called in Vegas) works as good as a white flash and is not eye-killer(at least no one has going mad at me in my latest AMV with those XD).

Towards the rest of your comment; Slayers really is a blast from the past for me too, but I've always loved this series and in the end, that really gave me the inspiration to produce a video for it. ^_^ KMFDM isn't my usual fare, but I like working with different kinds of songs and this one just fit, you know?

Glad you enjoyed it.
