Not always, some are pretty complex, but if that's the case you should write a summary in the info page if it's that hard and if it's important to know or something.CrackTheSky wrote:If the story was any good, she'd have been able to "understand" it without having to have seen the animeAnime_AJ wrote:If you even knew what this show is all about maybe you'd understand the story I'm trying to convey.
Hoping I did better this time!

Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

you're not going to get through to him.
awile ago he released some stuff with poor quality, and made up something like :
"it looks better on my computer because it's a media PC, and the divx is the latest version. if you viewed it on a computer like mine, you would see that it's dvd quality"

Are you saying we should all just play nicely and get along with each other? Treat every poster like they were an innocent 12 year-old girl, who will burst to tears at the slighest mishap? F*ck that. Posting the obvious truth about someone isn't about being negative, but realistic and honest. In this case given the bullshit excuse about some media PC, the guy needs to be smacked with something like this.Pankyy wrote:Minion, always with your negative posts

Thanks for all your comments so far. ^_^ Again, I'd rather receive an op or QC (quick comment) rather than a discussion board. This post is under the AMV Announcements not the General AMV forum, which is for discussion. So, its not that I don't like receiving these kind of posts (I don't know who does), I'd just rather not have them public - know what I mean?
First I would like to point out that I DID choose a beat to sync the video to unlike my original, which when I watch in comparison to this new version looks like a bunch of random scenes after the intro finishes and the first verse starts. Second, I don't feel that I needed to do something that makes the choruses (there are three main, then a closing) stand out from the rest of the video. Unfortunately, I didn't do very well with second (Karen's) chorus, and the third (Miina's) chorus I didn't really sync all that much though it is there. I felt the scene with her running with her old friend held a lot of meaning - both in the show and for my video. ^_^;; ((She's not just some random character!!))
To Autraya: When I said negative I meant your choice of words. Learn to give "constructive criticism" without being so blatantly rude. Neither you, nor I, enjoy having something we've worked very hard on called crap. I don't mind you saying, "It looks good and all but its not that much better." Saying, "this was a crappy re-do I can't believe it's still this bad after a second attempt," just doesn't cut it when letting someone know how to improve their skills. Know what I mean? I can take constructive criticism, but no one should have to "take negative comments with grace" - especially one so outright insensitive like that.
This is why I'd rather receive actual Ops or Quick Comments instead of posts like this in an "AMV Announcements" thread. Again, this isn't a thread in the General AMV discussion forum.
I'm at least glad that you all took the time to download and at least watch it once. Thank you. Really, I mean that. There are plenty of amvs both good and bad that we've all watched, deleted, and/or wondered "why did I even download this?"
Other than all that I don't really understand what I'm doing wrong. I've read many of the guides, I look to the guides when I need help, and downloaded one of them for reference to AMVapp. But I must say, I see most of these guides as standardized rules that I don't feel or think anyone is obligated to follow. AMVs are a way for all of us anime fans to express our creativity. I'm not asking to be treated like a 12-year-old girl (which is a bad euphemism), but I do think we should all treat each other with some degree of respect. These are videos that we make ourselves and spend quite a deal of time working on before sharing them with others. ^_^

Stop posting comments in the AMV Announcement thread. I do not want my video discussed here. If I did I would've started a thread in the General AMV section.
This thread is for announcing AMVs not discussing them.

AMV announcement threads are also about discussing the specific video that has been announced. If you haven't noticed, that is what has been going on here for the last... many several years.
If you don't want to discuss your video, don't post an announcement thread about it. Or write with a huge font in the first post, that you don't want any feedback, opinions, criticism or anything mentioned about the released video.
