Oy, almost missed this thread.
1. C
2. E
3. D
All from the same general section, which I love because it's so groovy. For a while I've been itching to use Heat Guy J in a video; it's got an urban feel that would complement these tracks well. Given with my experience and availability, I think track C would suit me the best. Track E is one complicated mofo that would be a slightly daunting but exciting (and probably time-consuming) challenge. D's my last choice because I would rather work with beats than vocals.
(Okay, I also like H, but so many other people want it too.
)
As for my past work... you should've seen everything already, since I make you beta my stuff whenever possible.
EDIT: just now I managed to capture some sweet footage that I'd like to use in a short fun amv at some point. Aaand I'm starting to get a good idea of how I could fit it within the HGJ source...

:O I was contemplating using Heat Guy J for track C too... it's a good choice.jasper-isis wrote:Oy, almost missed this thread.

I hope I don't sound mean, but is there going to be some kind of guidance of what is expected from the tracks.
So that there will not be a situation like with last years godix' track. Where he did few effects and concentrated on the lyrics.
Wich might have looked ok for itself, but looked totally out of place compared to the rest.

I've assumed that the first ayumix is a good guide for what should/shouldn't be done. I know that if I'm needed this time around I've already planned on being a big effects whore.Streicher wrote:I hope I don't sound mean, but is there going to be some kind of guidance of what is expected from the tracks.

yea good point, though from this music, its probably pretty obvious its going to be a more dance oriented project than anything else. The music is more dance inclined this time around more throughout anyway, so i'm thinking we won;t even have that problem. Still, I'll probably put a rough guideline to follow for each tracks, or the project as a whole.Streicher wrote:I hope I don't sound mean, but is there going to be some kind of guidance of what is expected from the tracks.

Ok I'll audition for:
1. Segment M
2. Segment L
L is a second preferences and there is no third as I'm only interested in that last song for the anime I have in mind =P
Look at my part in:
coz its a dance, upbeat MEP thing.
But this is my latest:
Reason: I've always wanted to give editting a dance AMV another go after doing Ninetail MEP. I also tend to edit the end of a song better than the start, as in I think I'm good at closures... ah I've been in heaps of MEPs Project Trinity... Yuri Collections... Nightwish End of an Era... o_O Naturally if I get this track I will put in 110% coz I hate being the track which stands out amongst the rest as being 'repulsive' "HAY datz OZ's track watta n00b!!", also the pacing of the track is something I can handle as it starts off slow then slowly builds up, I enjoyed the first Ayumix and know about the expectations it requires due to its prestige.

Well I really loved the first ayumix. And for the 2nd ayumix. I am going to work my best on this once I get the segment I want. I am going to work hard on what effects I could use for this, and of course I will get some opinions from bakadeshi for itBakadeshi wrote:yea good point, though from this music, its probably pretty obvious its going to be a more dance oriented project than anything else. Ok. I had to think about this for a bit. Here is the segment order preference:
Seg C
Seg F
Seg G
Example of previous work:
I think my segments could have been better but I am willing to try to make it work for the MEPs. (The iron chef mep is just an example that I am willing to participate on a deadline. If the video doesn't work out right the first time I can always get feedback like I did last time, which helped me improve the video.)
I am interested in C more so because it has kind of a hip hop twist. I tried experimenting with some hip hop in the Emcee Sak video. I would like to explore more that pathway of beats.
If you want to put me on backup that will be fine as well.

Segments
01 - Segment F
02 - Segment B
03 - Segment K
04 - Segment L
Examples of work
Why I think I should be allowed to join
Mainly because I preform my best works in meps and tend to use a lot of effects, therefore I could provide this video with some awsome visuals O:, also because my post is colorized
