Hoping I did better this time!

I remade another amv of mine. animeAJ proudly presents: "A Home of Our Own (Rebuilt)". Click the link below to download it.

Any QC's and Ops are welcomed and would be appreciated. You don't have to, but I recommend watching the original version first before watching this one just so you can see how well I improved it.

Here's the link for the original vid:

ok I haven't seen there series (prbably a good thing.... not my type) but
1.) your sync is still waaay off Imageand you scene choice is really inapropriate esp for the chorus of this song.... and the whole songXanime doesnot fit together at all
2.) your cut outs are really good, and the seat/swing swapping was a good idea oh and the visual quality...is about an 7/10

over all 2/5... this was a crappy re-do I can't believe it's still this bad after a second attempt
new banzors in the making :p

Perhaps you should watch the anime before telling me my choice of song doesn't fit. I, at least, have seen it and own the series. I also think I did better with choice of scenes for the choruses than I did for the original. If you even knew what this show is all about maybe you'd understand the story I'm trying to convey. I felt I had put quite a bit of effort into telling an actual story with the original version of this vid and that's why I decided to remake it. As far as sync goes, I don't even know if you're on the same page as me when it comes to the beat of the song I synced the clips to.

Next time I'd appreciate it if you left me an official opinion using the submit opinion form. And it would be very kind of you to use a much more careful choice of words from now on. I don't appreciate remarks/comments like the one you made in your very last sentence. Quite unnecessary.

If the story was any good, she'd have been able to "understand" it without having to have seen the anime :|

too bad, deal with it, and learn to take 'negative' comments with grace, there are better videos than this with higher ratings... hence they are better.

This is for you:

This video has the exact same problems I told you about in the op I gave you for your first rendition of it, which you so gracefully ignored. When the song breaks out (i.e. the choruses), the video doesn't. When the song has strong drum beats, they are completely ignored. There's no cohesion between the music and the video, save for your concept. But a video that focuses completely on the story and ignores the music save for the lyrics will fail 99% of the time. The video has no flow. Period. IMO you should have focused more on pacing the video with the beat of the song, rather than trying to strengthen the concept, which was already strong enough in your first version.

I really don't feel this video. It's a poor remake that could have been something if you had fixed the original version's problems, rather than touching up what the first version already did right.

Ouuchh! :D

EDIT: I love this anime and i like this song, maybe that's why i like this amv better than those two ( i definately have lower standards as well :D).
But that's true that there are really few syncing in this video, you put everything on lyric sync, the song choice was okay, but somewhat an overused concept. You should really try to follow some beats like Crackthesky said, that would definately make it more enjoyable to watch. And i like the visual quality, it wasn't bad at all.

It wasn't toooo bad, but like the other guys said, sync didn't fit at all. If you would worked harder on the transitions you might actually have done something, which I would keep on my computer^^. The visual quality was really good and I liked the beginning. There was some kind of syncing with the beats ^^

2/5 :)

i agree... and i could see some slight improvement between the two

i do think that there could have been more "movement sync"
it does follow the story well, and your effects were very tasteful... (i liked the beginning and the "sin city eyes" there are ways you could have used that more because the whole eye color thing was very important to the story line, i would have liked to see you use it on the girls as well)
cutting could have been done a bit tighter...
theres so much in that anime you probably could have used...
thing is the music sounded angstier than your visuals....
also i think there needed to be more focus on the main characters, and you should have cut out the "track" scene, 1 their running always seemed odd to me in that scene, and 2. it would strengthen the mood between the three main characters more to leave this other random character out

but the visual quality is awesome
