I was sadistic in the announcing of the winners
I held off Vlad's and James' Winning entries because Best in show was close between them both
and Best in show actually determined which 1 of them won the TJ Award
so I wanted them to be nervous

I thought you handled that part at Closing rather well Dinger, you kept everyone in suspense, but I felt in the back of my mind that Vlad would take it in the end.
Congrats again to Vlad for making an absolutely stunning video. I was crying myself when I saw how put it all together.
(Cried a lot during closing; after hearing our attendance numbers, the charity auction numbers, the cuteness-overload from our Sakura-Chibi Winner, the fact that my one of my videos finally won an award and that I was emotionally and physically drained by the end of con.... Weee~!)

Okay, here's what I'd TOTALLY love: please please PLEASE make a list of all the
videos that were at the contest, so that they can be downloaded for enjoyment.
Even if they're not from here, make it possible to get them. I beg you. T_T
(I'm especially eager to get my hands on the following: Man, I Feel Like A Woman;
Take On Howl; Mokuba; Evolution of Paradise; A Cowboy Story, It's Raining Otaku;
Through Children's Eyes; Speck of Hope; Desperado; Just Another Naruto Video, etc.)

I happened to walk in just when it was about to start. People did enjoy it... Not bad for the time you had to do it!hackerzc wrote:And with that, "The Confrontation" goes into retirement.
BTW Tom, how did the Opening videos go over? Both yours and mine...
I heard people cried at opening ceremonies ^_^.
Also, there were quite a few good videos this year, and all my fellow winners deserved it! Actually, the audience did a good jog in selecting the winning videos! I myself was floored as I never thought a trailer would take Best of Show!
Also, On Sunday when all the entries were shown in the AMV Room, the place was well attended and people enjoyed the all the videos!

Yeah I typically have a hard time coming up with something on such short notice. When I was asked I figured it would be something simple so I said yes... then I got a hold of what you had done last year and nearly shit myself. I had a week to come up with something on par with what you had done... that's just insane. I still think you would have done a better job, but I think I did ok considering. I would have liked to do more cuts or make it longer if I could but I was working off of somewhat limited source material (limited for what I'm use to). And now I know what you mean about having to go through thousands of pictures (they were all in some odd photoshop format I never used before as well).Vlad G Pohnert wrote:I happened to walk in just when it was about to start. And Tom, that's what I like to hear lol.
