Um...

I'm neither Canadian nor female. Eating most fruit makes me hungrier than I was before eating it. I secretly believe that everyone either hates or just doesn't notice me. I used to strangle myself with seatbelts and smash my head against walls as a child. I become obsessed and/or addicted with/to things very easily (actually, that one's probably pretty obvious, so never mind). I used to strangle myself with seatbelts and smash my head against walls as a child.

Damn, if I believed emo existed, I'd totally say this posts sounds like it.

Yeah man, I eat an apple every day, but I swear I feel hungrier after eating it.

My communication skills in all non-eletronic are pretty much a giant failure. (Would just go with digital, but I usually have one digit up at something.) Mumble and get dsylexic so that even when you CAN hear me, it doesn't make any sense. If you start talking to me in person just randomly, I can either do a echo or a quick thank you type response. Anything more expected, and I just stand there for a couple minutes gathering my thoughts I just spilled all over the place. And my handwriting needs a Rosetta stone they've yet to find.

I used to try my hand at story writing, but the same thing happens as when I edit: never satisfied, delete, or I don't know where to go with it. If I'm bored and have a bunch of free time, I'll do random story telling in my head to pass the time. The few times I found confidence and with a group, my words came out clear and were well recieved, but the combination of both a group I can hold the attention of and speak coherently is quite rare.

I dislike the idea of celebrating a certain day to mark an event. Any, every and no day, is a day to celebrate. I also hate praise. Every award I've recieved has been for me putting forth minimal effort, and I think I've only heard a sincere thank you/congratulations/similar a couple times. Most of it just seems like going through the motions.

My nose used to run more when people smoked around me - one room, three smokers, no ventilation, and I was on the top bunk. Then I started smoking myself and now smoke is one of the only things I'm not allergic to. ;p

I've quit a few times, but my alergies are a lot worse when I'm not smoking. I picked up menthol cigarettes when I was 17. Took me two cartons before I started to like the things. I've been constantly congested with a runny nose since I was 14 or 15 - if I get even a minor cold I'm hacking stuff up for a month. I hate coughing even more than I hate blowing my nose. But if I'm chainsmoking my nose doesn't even run, let alone drain back and collect so I have to cough it back up. The last time I quit smoking for a year, I had a constantly raw nose like diaper rash from blowing it every few minutes. I don't know how I lived like that in highschool carrying snotrags everywhere I went. As long as I'm smoking even my cats don't make me sneeze and cat hair's right up there with mown grass and hairspray when it comes to my faucetnose.

But I don't smoke in public unless it's outdoors and no one's around. It's more fun blowing my nose and hacking loogies into napkins in restaurants - even people in the smoking sections grimace and give me dirty looks. ;p Outdoors, well, if some idiot comes and sits near me, she can cough as much as she wants and I'll just blow some more in her direction. I was there first. My state's too close to Kentucky to do a clean air act. ^_^

What chart? This chart?
(quite accurate actually)

I can't stand cigarette smoke, myself, and a bunch of other types of smoke. Strangely, I often smoke in my dreams, though :o
In fact I have dreams about smoking far more often than dreams about sex (which I very rarely have). Figure out an explanation that one for me

Yep, that's the one.

Cigerattes you can enjoy on your own with no existing pre-conditions, unlike yours for a partner?

You're either an intellectual used to seeing images of doctors, professors, scientists, and "men in power" who smoke - or you have an oral fixation and you're more comfortable expressing it by dreams where you smoke than you would be with dreams where you give head. If you were gay with an oral fixation, you'd probably have more sex dreams and less cigarette dreams.

Or you could be a teenager who views smoking as a dirty rebellious act you'd never do in reality, so you do it in your dreams instead. But that's a boring thought.

people always seem to be suprised to find out
1. that im married
2. aparently for some people its a suprise that I'm female (House icon was seriously tripping alot of people up a while back)
3. My screen name is the misspelling of a star trek character (the misspelling is unique to me)
4. my cat is named after an anime character (Ta-kun from FLCL)

though im guessing that most of the forum regulars already know most of these things

my dreams are usually really weird... stuff like killing baby Xenomorphs by stepping on their tiny little heads, and Sadamm Hussein making CCS videos to "punk" music... and the damn pop-ups... they come up when im trying to watch skittles.. or editing...

this also seems to apply to me... O.o I dont smoke either..

I like to collect random "anime" items even from shows i dont really like: I have a Naruto Headband... but unlike the local narutotards i wont wear it to the mall >.> I have Ash's hat from Pokemon, BOTH of Sakura's books and her first wand, fubura plushies (I need the Dog-Sugure)

I'm reading A Series of Unfortunate Events... and finding the humor awesome O: Lemoney Snicket is evil! but in a good way.

My husband is a Published Musician. (one who would probably squee at the thought that someone made an amv to one of his songs rather than jump down throats and "take legal action") Self published.

Ohh, I think that may be it. Actually, it's somewhere between this and your last explanation; in the dreams where I smoke I see myself as either some sort of rogue intellectual figure or a homeless artist and/or terrorist (I think that may be hinting at eventual fate, the homeless part at least  ).

Otherwise, it's probably obvious anyway, but I've always had this strong association with "Intelligentsia" in the disaffected-but-pretentious-eastern-european sense. So I think that'd be an influence.

As far as an oral fixation, naw. I can't say I've, uh, experimented, but the idea itself isn't quite attractive. Particularly in the sense that you're implying!

I didn't know you smoked by the way. That's my first notable surprise of this thread :o

Random Oto fact: I have an almost unfairly effective long-term memory. I often remember seemingly trivial conversations for years. I often catch people by bringing up something they'd forgotten, but I have clearly stored in my head. For the same reason, have a ton of useful and useless facts and figures in my head. To augument that, I literally read encyclopedias and dictionaries (as opposed to browsing or looking for particular things) - often daily and sometimes in binges.
I've also kept no coherent, let alone organized notes or packages of course materials for my entire schooling career. I never studied for exams either.

It's not all perfect though. In some senses my memory is selective. I have a horrible memory for names for some reason. I have an even worse short-term memory, and will miss appointments, deadlines and taking out garbage like you wouldn't believe

I've never mentioned it here. Ever. There's one person I told, but that was during one of my "quit" phases - I hadn't smoked in over a year at the time. I picked it back up again last year. It's an on again off again habit. When I smoke, I chainsmoke. When I quit, it's cold turkey. I expect to quit again later this year if I can settle on a new job. It usually depends on my job - what's more awkard, the snotrag (office work) or the cigarette breaks (factory work). ^_^;
