FMA - Beta
I would like some suggestions/improvments on these two ideas for Full Metal Alchemist.

seriously..please no youtube-links!!!
If you want feedback you should upload it to a website like http://www.sendspace.com, so that people can download it to watch.
Hey, How can you give real feedback if you can barely see the Video? O.o

I enjoyed the first one considering the overused song [or maybe cause its FMA]
-some within-video sync could have been done better like at 0:17 with the hands and again later on.
-The moods fit, but that's the beauty of a lyric-less song... hard to go wrong.[smart]
for the second one, almost didn't watch. song. maybe its just cause you hear it everywhere... don't want to watch a new video along with something not new. [you may encounter people saying "this is too mainstream for me to watch," well above is the real reason for this, imo].
-the background stuff was a nice effect
-I agree with kev though, the tube probably wont help you much unless there was something specific you wanted to know that doesn't require quality.
good work

Yes, it's really hard to give or get feedback with this barely bad quality.Kevmasterflashdeluxe wrote:seriously..please no boochsack-links!!!
1) This seems to be good synced. But I guess most people would think, you took the great "Eternal Damnation" video from NHMK and replaced Hellsing with FMA.
2) I recognized some ambitious effects you used, but I can't say more without a good quality version.

1) Seams not to be good synced. I don´t know I guess it´s boochsack. Hydrax you´re pretty anoying for me. After you Bleach Goodbye you come again with another copycat work?
2) Take this idea! It was much better, but I can´t say anything about the quality of the effect masks. It looked MUCH better than your Pompeii vid. Please forget the first one and work this out.
Damn... boochsack needed a few seconds for loading the site up and I was really hopeing that it crashed or is just down. Dreams can´t get true T_T

I have to agree with the second video. If you could up load it to megaupload.com or a site I'll be sure to watch your beta in higher quality so I could be more detailed. I do like the feel and editing in it so far.
The first one has some nice editing in it. Timing looks like it was well done. Just seemed to typical of an FMA action type video.

...I feel obliged to respond now that you uploaded better versions
-I will critique the pompeii video since I'm dealing with a lot of timing in my current video.
-I may not be the best to talk about timing, and I'm not sure myself, but if you delay the audio stream by 33ms in vdub, there's a chance for improvement, though I don't want to split hairs
-It didn't help with the internal synch like at 0:13, 15, 18 though.
...so for fun I thought I'd re-edit some of the video myself, and add some fun stuff too
This is how I would do the first 22 seconds:
<a href="http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... ted.mp4</a> ~3MB
(not to hijack the thread, but if anyone else is reading this, I too would like feedback on my editing, since I don't want to give a bad example)
-for a note of clarity: I don't encourage either video (if you must, use #2
, although I hear it on the radio everyday). I did this more for practice, and to help you from a technical standpoint.
