How do you view your AMV's?

Post by Greggus1 » Sun Mar 11, 2007 9:38 am

Actually, my question really was whether you view them with headphones or not, but might as well ask for the complete report.

Personally, I view them on my iMac widescreen monitor, with headphones on. However, I recently noticed how different the experience was when listening to the audio from speakers, and how it actually affects how much I appreciate a particular vid. The reason why I started watching them with speakers in the first place was to avoid any weird looks from my family, back in the day, which, now that I stopped caring, had just become a habit. I also beleived you enjoyed the sync better with them on, but maybe sync isn't made to be completely appreciated, but only sub-consciously noticed?

I guess I might as well ask this too : Do you feel any embarassment at viewing AMV's within earshot or eyesight of your entourage?

Bah, this post is a bit all over the place, so just answer anything you feel like. Thanks in advance for all thoughts!

Prod raises another interesting question : Do you eat while watching AMV's?

Dip's pretty good, but nothing beats the Dewelopers/nachos combo 8-)

I'm a gamer, so headphones are my friends (my parents would not appreciate sounds of bullets constantly coming from my room). Plus, whenever my parents watch me when I'm on the computer (doing anything) I feel uncomfortable, so...

I watch my amvs on a player

...

...?

...!

I just watch them on my monitor. I don´t eat while watching. Vids are too short. When I eat something while watching I get the cinema feeling. The only vid were this could come up is amv hell or Dead to the World.

Watched on a monitor while wearing headphones. Only.

I watch my amv's on my flat screen monitor with my surround sound system. I've watched them with headphones on but its better without them. Now when editing I'll put on headphones once and a while to take a more detailed listening to the music.
No matter what, stay calm, stay cool and live life to the fullest.
Plus as Gene would say always go big in life.

I've been using headphones lately, they are pretty useful when editing.

Another thing I hadn't thought of. Watching ang editing are 2 different things, and I could not edit without headphones. I'd actually like to hear someone justify editing an entire video without them on, besides for financial reasons. For any kind of detailed understanding of the song, they're really a must.
