Yeah, for you anime-only people, Fay and Kurogane are actually main characters in the manga. Check it out. There are actually entire chapters just about them!

I know that... And really, they're different enough that I can understand why. While I personally liked both, if you're a hardcore shoujo-drama fan in the vein of the original, with tastes that are more or less restricted to that, the slapstick aspect of the anime would be a turnoff.Otohiko wrote:Well then there's the obvious fact that the anime was basically cut off and canned before being properly finished (in part because the mangaka disliked the adaptation).
OMG yes. The manga rocks, the anime bombs hard, and almost actively eliminates everything that made the manga cool.kikai_saigono wrote:Can't belirve no one mentioned Real Bout Highschool yet.......
sure the anime took place sometime after the manga...but it was still a waste of my money, and I loved the manga :/
Wow, if the "filler" in YYH bothers you, then how can you watch any anime? Filler in YYH was at max 5 minutes long. When you compare that to DBZ with whole Filler Sagas.Millenear wrote: YuYu Hakusho. On the whole, not bad.. but if I had to choke down much more filler during the Dark Tournament episodes, I would have ended up classified as an official pork product.
I'm sorry, but I cannot see where it takes 3 to 4 episodes to kick Kuwabara's ass. It does not take over a full minute, plus narrative, for him to fall from a great height and say Ow. Add to that all the people & demons analyzing how his ass is being kicked. In my opinion, it didn't need to be that long.Wow, if the "filler" in YYH bothers you, then how can you watch any anime?
